My biggest issue with HHH’s booking is that nothing of note happens at B level PLEs in terms of title changes. The shows are great and enjoyable, there’s rarely title changes on PLEs besides Mania or SummerSlam. I get that those are bigger shows, but the smaller shows can afford to have a singles title change.
Yep this is one of the problems that does make this era inferior to the attitude era. Back then the storyline were engaging and exciting but also you never knew when the title was gonna change hands. Could be at the big show, could be at no mercy in October, could be on an episode of Raw. Yet it was still entertaining and you had many star making moments. The unpredictability made every show can’t miss. Mankind winning the title on Raw may arguably be the greatest title win in wwe history.
There like wwe live events if we keep having them I won’t watch it coz that’s the road to it being stale again. They have to tweek stories just for Gunther to go to Berlin it’s damaging and there doing it with other superstars there 1 man ppv for the fans
Aight but who’s realistically losing. Gunther ain’t losin, Cody ain’t losin, and liv ain’t losing. Practically all the champions just got there straps lmao.
@@jamarcusmonroe2759 True but it doesnt hurt to have them lose and get it back again, Id love for Randy to win and then next raw Gunther just absolutely annhilates him forcing the rematch on the next Raw where Gunther wins it back, that type of excitement n unpredictability (which still makes sense for the characters) keeps people engaged and keeps B level PLEs worth watching. Like Bash in Berlin is just a Gunther meet and greet.
True Oba can drop that NA title now. He needs to be in the NXT title picture anyway. Roxxanne should drop to Lash, or Lola.
I would like for Gunther and Randy to have their match early in the show too so when Cody retains against KO in the main event then BOOM! RKO Outta Nowhere on Cody and there you have Randy turns heel and the start of the Cody and Randy feud. But it’s most definitely not happening
@@kadharefinley224 it’s most definitely not happening because a randy heel turn makes no sense at this point. it’ll likely happen after the bloodline story is over. i could see ko turn heel though.

In all fairness, they still have enough time to set it up.. and european crowds can make a live event card feel like a Wrestlemania.

The problem is not the lack of heels but how HHH has booked the heels.
With halfway decent booking Santos, Grayson, Melo, and Giovanni should be top heels or at least credible.

i've been following WWE since WM this year after being lapsed since the early 2000s. I'm having a great time, but this PLE feels like the first one that could end up being a stinker for me. I just don't know if there was enough time to set up compelling stories to tell after summerslam.

Punk/Drew 2 at Bad Blood is the perfect time to bring back 3 Stages Of Hell match. always loved that match.
I wanna say one thing about the new JD and Damian and rhea feud.. I think that Jey Uso and Sami will join rhea and DP to take down the JD and in terms of status the new jd would be soo low compared to the other “faction”. I think that to them to look stronger they should let Aj styles join the JD and being like co-leader with Finn balor as maybe the new bullet club with Gallows and Anderson joining them at some point, also because Aj, Finn and Liv were the ones who wanted to take down the JD in the first place 3 years ago.
Gunther vs Randy, Randy wins, stays on Raw, Gunther goes to SmackDown and goes after Cody and WWE Championship. Smackdown's heel problem on the way to being solved.

@@Papellxhaseyes, because it would actually be interesting and less predictable as he already had 2 extremely long title reigns. Have him lose his first world title early and see how he adapts to the new situation. He can easily win it back and have a very very long reign afterwards.

@@Papellxhase Way to read too much into a theory. I never said I wanted Gunther to lose on his first defense and at what point did I say anything about Cena vs Orton. It was a fantasy scenario on how to solve the heel problem on Smackdown. Calm down. I don't think Cena should win it off Orton. If anything I would like to see Cena beat Cody or Roman if he wins a 17th. To be clear I don't think Cena should beat Flair. I think it should be Orton to do it.

Randy needs to win. Beating Gunther clean in Germany would cement the fact that he is still the legend killer. Gunther is young and very much over with the crowd he has plenty of time to be champion in the coming years. Meanwhile Randy has had an amazing reaction to his return but hasn’t done anything to prove he’s still champion material and probably coming close to retirement. Give Randy one more title run before he hangs up the boots.

@@asianking8993 that’s just too predictable. Randy signed for 5 years but man he’s not getting any younger. I see him wrestling for 2 maybe 3 years max. And honestly what’s the point of having Randy around if you’re just going to make him lose to everybody he faces. Randy won’t be compelling until they do something to raise his stock I honestly think him beating Gunther a guy who’s only been beaten clean like 4 times would absolutely do that. Gunther would bounce back and we could get an interesting storyline to see what Gunther the character would do after being humiliated like that something he’s definitely not used to. I can see a series of rematches with him and Randy for the world title.
@@Guava11534randy is 44 I believe, he’ll probably hang it up at around 47-49. He has plenty time. Randy is an established multiple time HOFer. He has nothing to prove. Let the up n comer Gunther keep cementing his name & legacy. Randy is gonna get the chance just now isn’t his time & most likely he’s going back to smackdown to take the belt from cody anyways lol
It would certainly be an unexpected swerve and a fresh reminder to Gunther that it’s not so easy to be on top so soon. He’s already had 2 extremely long title reigns so it would be interesting to see a short one and how his character adapts to it. He can easily win it back and have a MUCH longer reign afterwards IMO. Otherwise he’s gonna be just a 2 time world champion when all is said and done lol.

would love to see K.O turn heel which will lead to them having a second match at bad blood which will be the motivating factor in Randy turning on cody as some point hopefully we get cody vs randy at Crown Jowel which is the last ple of the year.
I was thinking if Randy loses to Gunther, he should RKO Cody during the match and maybe Punt Kick Cody, so that KO could win the title. Kevin Owens could feel that he didn't earn the win, but then slowly turn heel.
Kevin could go up against the Roman with Roman as a face reversing roles. That match gets interrupted by the Bloodline to further the Roman storyline, and keep Kevin as champion a little longer.
Cody and Randy now have a reason to feud, and add more gritt and energy to Cody's character as well.
If this actually happens..... well, someone tell me what I should do...
U can't have both randy and k.o. turn heel at the same time....I do agree randy will lose to Gunther and then he will turn on cody when he get back to smackdown....k.o. will lose to cody of course......randy and cody start their feud......I don't think k.o. comes in between them.....roman would be in his rivalry with solo.....he won't be near the title picture for a long time......I know we get roman vs solo at bad blood and then bloodline Civil War at survivor series......
I think that Bash in Berlin will be a pointless filler PLE like Payback and Fastlane
At some point Brock Lesnar needs to cost Gunther his championship and set up a feud for Gunther to have an excuse to go after Cody at next year's WrestleMania.

I feel that not every match should be used exclusively to build up to wrestlemania. Especially a late summer PLE. Need something big to make Bash in Berlin stand out in ppl’s minds years from now besides just being a story beat to future PLEs and wrestlemania 41. It will get too predictable if every singles title only changes hands at WrestleMania and SummerSlam.
The thing is every single champion cannot lose at bash rn. Because all 3 Tag titles won’t be on the show, Gunther and Cody are holding on to these until wrestlemania Season, Liv won’t defend the title on Bash, La Knight, Bron Breakker, and Nia Jax just won it. Which means all 9 current main roster titles are not dangered at all during BIB. It sucks but we gotta roll with it. If we were to see title changes on B Tier ppv it’s either bad blood or crown jewel.
@@KarmanRai-x2h its so lame that we've come to expect that titles could never change hands at "B tier ppv". like sure those one day/one week title reigns suck. but it is believable to have 1 month title reigns. some champions are better at winning the belt, but suck at retaining.
@@alexw5042true and look at the chaos of the attitude era, it truly felt like can’t miss TV and PPV events. You never knew when the title was gonna change hands but the top storylines were still solid. Mankind winning the title on Raw was one of if not the greatest title win ever.
Remember in the attitude Era and ruthless aggression era titles changed hands at unforgiven judgment day no mercy Armageddon all the time......we need to get back to the unpredictable settings.....u right it's too predictable seeing the title only change at wrestlemania or summerslam

How about Orton wins to move onto 15 titles then on raw when Cody is speaking about who deserves to challenge him at next PPV he gets RKO out of nowhere. Randy turns heel saying he wants to face Cosy to become unamious champion and to equal Flair and Cena record. Have him win that then at next PPV he has to defend each title in separate matches. Have him retain 1 of them until elimation chamber where he loses and have Cena win the rumble. Then at mania you have Orton and Cena against whoever beats Orton at chamber in a triple treat match. With potentially 1 of them becoming 17 time champ. Personally think they should run with that also make the person that beats Orton at chamber completely unexpected. Let the Miz win it, promos between the 3 in the build will be excellent and Miz deserves 1 more title and mania headline. Also makes the outcome completely unexpected

Roman is making 2 appearences in a row that's it until Bad Blood for the Part Time Cheif. I actually think Berlin NEEDS a Punk/McIntyre match everything else is blatantly obvious and predictable. At least Punk and Drew is the best story going in WWE right now, and with no bloodline polluting the card it needs something.

I like Cody Rhodes, but I am not a fan of his title reign . It’s like once he got the title he just got corny. His promo style changed a little bit to more pandering and his matches sometimes are boring not saying he wrestles worse than Roman. I kinda can’t put my finger on it.

Also Knight and Santos have been going at it for a while, so I think that rivalry extends to Bad Blood and we maybe get Women's tag titles at Bash in Berlin
