i find this to be a very intereting commentary of our natural world, including the importance of conservation of forests, of course i recall the awful floods ! great credit to Nicole (who makes such subjects interesting) and to DW for presenting a historical perspective of volcanic crater lakes and Gemany s geographical history !
Germany 🇩🇪is same beautiful like Switzerland 🇨🇭speicaly South (Baden-Württemberg),97% real natives are kind ❤and always helpful to poors. May God bless german nation and country.
Another great adventure. A really charming and centrally located region from which to explore the surrounding region. My Wife and I look forward to our next trip!
Absolutely love Nicole's videos! Think maybe Nicole and Lukas ought to do like a Q and A about the best places they've visited and all that! Or like list the things they've liked the most on their travels - Like a 'Top 10' video! Either way - Danke Nicole and Lukas and DW
The Laacher See volcano is actually far more active than you'd might think. There has been land uplift and earthquakes deep under the crust throughout the whole month of december, magma is quite definitely moving and the land uplift can be an indicator for the volcano preparing an eruption. Scientists believe it is still capable of erupting without warning, and an eruption of the Laacher See volcano would be catastrophic as it is listed as a super volcano.
To be honest as someone who lives relatively close to Maria laach I'm not as much concerned about the possibility of an eruption it's self but rather about the fact that apparently no one really knows what actually to do if it really happens
Seeing this video makes me want to visit Monschau again! I have been there only once, and that was in 1976, so a return visit is due, don't you think? 😊
I've been to Monschau quite a few times and really like this place and the surrounding. Btw.: It's also famous for its mustard, which is still kind of hand made in a little "Senfmühle" (mustard mill) since 1882. Check it out the next time you go to Monschau ... :-)
