So my friend and I were chatting a while back and we came up with some stupid ideas for stands for everyone in our friend group, mine ended up being Daft Punk (or the localized “Idiot Rebel”). The idea was that it’s ability was Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, which allowed it to change its stats at will (taking from one stat and giving to another) with the localization of buffer, speeder, cooler, solid (because let’s be real, some of the localizations are amazingly silly). It would have the look of a buff robot with a smooth Daft punk helmet and a weapon that would change based on the stats (durability = a shield, destructive power = a gauntlet or large blade). The reason this works for me is I personally would have maybe a few “load outs” I used with it, defense or attack driven with maybe a speed one if need be but mostly like attack or defense. This is where it actually kinda gets cool, I have Diagnosed DID so I have another personality and she would utilize the stand differently, namely she would probably pump everything into speed and precision and while the developmental potential for her “version” of the stand would be significantly less (being the only stat not able to be changes on command) like an F or an E, she would be exponentially better with it because of how she thinks and functions. She wouldn’t really change the stats but she would use the stand in ways that make up for the “one trick pony” detriment. This song is actually what we concluded *my* main theme would be (hers is much less upbeat).
