Fantastic insight into the MBA application process at INSEAD. A must watch for any potential applicant who wants to know how to get into the INSEAD MBA programme. Making your career plan speak to and align with the taught modules and the lecturers' research or professional interests is a smart idea and one that I used to great affect when applying to business school. It shows that you have really done your research and can give the admissions team a clear rationale for accepting your application, beyond the sea of candidates with the right grades. Making your application stand out from the crowd is the key with any MBA admissions process. Clearly iterating what it is that makes INSEAD business school stand out for you, and then why you are right for it, is what the admissions staff want to see.
This was insightful, particularly the section on values. I'm used to English applications so I struggled to get my head around the idea of being what. You term it 'presidential, ' which seems more akin to US applications.
Oooo tough one. Warwick arguably has the best reputation in the past 10 years, although King's (KCL) has a historic prestige. Warwick's on a track to likely become more prestigious than KCL, but it can take decades for perceptions to change/correct. They are very very close in terms of reputation at the moment. The main determinant for our candidates is that KCL and Bayes are in central London, and they would prefer to live there. I would recommend both Warwick and KCL over Bayes for management (although the Bayes course content is very good). I would take KCL over Warwick because of the London location but Warwick is probably the better course and reputation for one's career, but it is close. Hope that helps!
