I bought a red second hand 2.5 year old 90bhp diesel model about 6 weeks ago. I can't believe the fuel economy. I've never seen anything like it. In the country you can easily get 65 even 70 to the gallon and doing town driving at least 55 to the gallon. I really like the car.
I have the MPI 75PS 2015 SE fabia. Whilst it isn't the fastest (especially compared to my motorcycle), it is quiet and I get around 52 MPG and up to 58 MPG on the motorway if I drive economically.
I’ve had my 67 plate fabia dsg for four years now and can honestly say say it’s one of the best made smaller cars I’ve had ,no signs of ageing anywhere, one of the best built cars I’ve owned. I’ve got rather attached to it and have decided to keep it for as long as I can
I have the 1.2 TSI with 110 HP and the DSG gearbox. The car is very responsive and fun to drive, the kickdown when you floor the gas pedal is almost instant! Unfortunately it doesn't have the infotainment display shown in the review, instead it has the smaller display without navigation and Android Auto/ Apple Carplay. But still is a great little car and I would buy it again
Im watching this in 2018. Avoid the diesels. Price of fuel is ten pence a litre more expensive than petrol now, and if you dont do motorway journeys, do NOT get the diesel or you risk blocking up the DPF. Be warned. I worked in a service department for a well known dealer, and you wouldnt believe how many cars came in with DPF issues ! People blindly bought diesels over the last few years because of the pulling power and low revs at speed, but so many only drive round town and it does them no good at all. Plus, they cost more to buy than the petrol model, the fuel is pricier and you sit there thinking "but im getting more miles per gallon". Yeah all very good but any savings you think you are making on mileage is eaten up by the fuel costs and the higher purchase price. Thats why diesel sales are plummeting now, and petrol engines are so good, 3 cylinders especially, many have turbos as well as being economical. Diesel is yesterdays fuel and only dinosaur sales reps who are set in their ways will lease diesel cars.
Diesel is about 5c cheaper that petrol in Ireland. It is worrying what you say about the DPF filter. This is my first diesel car. Fuel economy is great though.
My son is looking at buying the 996cc SE TSI 2019 and it’s got everything both front and rear parking and cruise control, with heated seats. He’s a student. Is there anything to look out for when going to look at one ?? Any advice will be helpful
Agree with most of your comments, however as with most Skoda's the interior is a very dull and uninteresting place to be, the City go being the worst. I cannot agree with the rear seat space, with the driver's seat right back there is no way an adult is going to survive anything but a short journey, having two tall teenagers myself they simply didn't fit which is why I went for a Nissan Note, it's ability to let you choose between a large boot or more rear legroom with its sliding rear seats is something all manufacturers in this segment should be doing, if the Fabia had that then I probably would have bought one.
@@capyvara3706 I've owned a MK1 1.4mpi fabia since 2003. It was a 2000 year car. I only scraped it 6 weeks ago ☹️. I absolutely loved that car. I bought a 2.5 year old MK3 1.4tdi 90hp to replace it. Love it. I love where everything is located in the fabia. It's like driving the same car.
Kien Fung lol must have been a shitbox. Few friends of mine have golf's and their perfect but then again you could be talking about a different vw model and i haven't had or drove a polo
He never lifted the bonnet. Never spoke about what way the wheel nuts are removed. He must think the car will never need oil or a wheel change. A bunch of fools reviewing cars
VAG reliability is regarded as mediocore by most people. And Fabia is the cheapest model of the cheapest brand within VAG. Can it really be built to last?
Test car has an optional Colour Concept package featuring contrast coloured roof, mirror caps and alloys. There are of course more sober options available as well.
As a year long owner of a 110TSI Fabia I can say this is a very accurate review.
I've had mine for two years now, but I'm always stunned by it's beauty. I just keep staring at it.
I've had mine for 23 years and keep staring at her too.

How did the DSG responded until now? Any problems?
what a pity the rear seats don't fold flat, would have given it serious consideration as I'm looking for a new car
I’m definitely getting this car this summer!

That's strange, because the "sponsored reviews" from other UK channels lately raved about this car lol
I surprised ŠKODA don’t make there 1.2 3 cylinder 74 BHP diesel Fabia Greenline that dose 94 mpg anymore. That engine only emits 89g/km co2 emissions.
green and black or blue and black ?
Green and black.
Wich version is this one?? Ambiente, Style?
It's the SE-L. SE plus LED DRLs, auto Lights & Wipers.

If I was going to make a video I would have a wash and shave first, rather than appear in it straight after spending the night in the gutter.
