In case you didn't know there are hour long videos on here of Tom reading various things, from Shakespeare to giving positive affirmations and I love them so much. Look up "Loki helps you fall asleep" lol (funny title but it's real)
The feanchise is dead. Sure it makes money but it lost its soul long time ago. You have to reimagine 007 ENTIRELY to make it worthwhile. Daniel Craig is whatever. Moore and Connery were the only ones. Every 007 movie was just same product placement crap. All junk.
Me too, but I think that it was necessary, visually speaking, for the breakdown of the "civilisation". It is interesting that the character by Evans drowns a dog and later after the assault he is eating dog's food. Man it is the most vicious animal.
You do all know that this is a film, and therefore is fiction, so no animals were actually hurt? It is part of the narrative of the story (I do agree that the film is unusual though).
It's not that simple- the fact of every move that a character does in a movie is for a purpose. This was supposed to represent his change in insanity and the wild animal nature that took over everyone.
This film is an adaptation of a novel of the same name. Without spoiling, it's a rather straight-forward critique of capitalism. The plot is very, very simple. Not sure about the reviews, but it's a worth a watch, imo.
Violence towards domestic animals in media upsets people more than violence towards other people because it is conveyed that there isn't an equal power balance between the aggressor and the victim. Same reason violence towards women or children has a more shocking or wrong factor than the same actions towards an adult male character.
Im watching the movie rn and I’m halfway through and I’m understanding NOTHING.All I know is that this building has a serious discrimination problem, and those who are discriminated don’t give a shit
Really? It's just a critique of capitalism, where the high-rise is class-segregated (the higher you go, the richer the people are), and the upper floors always demean those who live beneath them. It's rather straight-forward.
I couldn't finish watching this film due to the animal cruelty in it. I wussed out and watched Crimson Peak instead...where i can obviously deal quite well with people getting the axe, but if animals get abused in films, im outtee.
His voice is like a story teller, very charming and soothing. Could listen Tom endlessly.

@@whiskeymarie9560 there is even a 6 hr video where tom reads the book version of high rise(highly recommend it)
Tom: **Beats guy up viciously**
Also Tom: *IT'S MY PAINT!!!*
I’m reading the book now and I’m so excited that Anthony Royal is being played by Jeremy Irons. He seems perfect for that role
I listened to the book on Audible read by Tom as Robert. 100% perfect. The movie was great.
He could be the new James bond
Nah, I think someone more gender fluid like Billy Porter would be a better option for James Bond.
He can't now, he's already 40.
@@lindildeev5721 he sure don’t look like it

I hate any moment that involves cruelty to animals. Breaks my heart.
The mutt had it coming alright

the book has more but don't worry ballard was a dog lover

1:45 that's ABBA SOS for string quartet :D
And I’m the violinist on the left haha. Fun extra role!
@@collector1086 you all were awesome
Portishead’s cover is also in the movie. End credits.
OMG TOM CALM DOWN ITS JUST PAINT
BUT IT'S HIS PAINT
This movie makes sense when you just picture pandemic going on outside its doors, hence the reason no one leaves.
They way they treated him in that 1700s to 1800s themed party was horrible
The way after the first fight breaks out the entire store turns into a chaotic mess.
I thought he likes dogs 😭😞
He does: Well Done

The only good thing to come out of this movie is the sexy TH gifs…
Gosto muito de ver o Tom fora do MCU. Fazendo outros personagens. Ele é maravilhoso.
This movie left me enraged and confused
Jep Level of disturbance 4000🤣
the soundtrack is key
They way the actors behave is almost, kind of childish. Like, really, did you seriously need to knock that guy out for some bloody paint?
Tbf the guy did tackle him first.
Just how the story goes

Bravo.
Did he really need to go complete berserk on that guy for some paint....

Can anyone explain what this movie is about and if it got good reviews?
Good movie just insanely confusing
The book is amazing too!!!
it doesn't adapt the book very well but has some good scenes

Were I can see the movie?
Grammar!
I wish people were more upset about the killing of people than they are of killing a simple dog.
same but I found the dog leg at the start rather shocking and funny

Yes yes he did
Why is most movies and shows he’s in are boring? He’s gorgeous though.
song of te primer scena??? pleaceeee
