As a fellow Albertan it makes me happy to see videos like this! Great video, exciting hunt and congratulations on the awesome bull 😁 Way to get it done fellas!! 👊🏼
@@BoworBustOutdoors I’m just curious as potentially, the dominant males could get harvested before they’ve had a chance to mate, so the gene pool might not be as strong as it could be? I’m from Scotland and we’ve just abolished the close season for male deer and I don’t understand why.
@@MayhemHunt that’s very cool! He had so many close calls leading up to the moment of truth, great video but most of all congratulations to Rich on an awesome bull! 😁
@@DAllan-lz3lg the dominant males will and do get the chance to breed throughout the rut. Although studies have shown that it’s not necessarily the dominant males that do most of the breeding. With calving season throughout the spring and harsh weather conditions through the cold winters here in Alberta it’s the best time to allow hunting different species without putting too much pressure on future generations or pressuring them during already life threatening conditions through the winter when food is scarce and temps can reach -40 degrees Celsius. Fall is the best time and it also happens to be the most beautiful time in Alberta 😁
Congrats on a successful and exciting hunt. It is truly a blessing to have that much action. Awesome hunt!🎉
You got that right! Thanks for watching

Rich- Do you bat left handed too?
Why is the season during the rut ?
Most or all of big game archery hunting seasons are during the rut. Most species.
Another note, this was an either weapon tag that Rich chose to use a bow for instead of a rifle.

All that and you didn’t get the shot??? 🤷🏼♂️🙄🙄
You really do hate to see it. We'll do better next time (hopefully)
Rich man hunting. They always have a guide. Hunting isn't hunting unless you do the work all through the season. Lame!
Our first archery hunt with a guide ever. Check out some past hunts for our DIY stuff. This was new to us too
