    As several of you have noticed, there is an option for narrow strips of cardstock -- attach them temporarily to a larger piece of cardstock and then remove after punching.

    When I saw the title, I hoped it was able to line up the border punches I already have...of course not lol! They want to sell new stuff. It does look like a wonderful tool, and if I was just starting out I'd buy it. But since I have at least a dozen border punches already, I'll use them.
    Thank you for the demo, it looks like an awesome tool! 😊❤️

      I am in agreement with the versatility. I have huge amount of border punches, it would be better if they improve on this by figuring out how to use with other types of border punches, it would be a skyrocket seller product

    This is a very cool tool to have in our craft space. Thank you for doing a review. I have not seen the We R Memory Keepers version. It is similar to the Creative Memories system. A couple tips... You could use temporary adhesive to adhere a smaller strip to something, such as a file folder to reach in to the punch. Also, I like the fact that the punch moves and leaves behind the bitty scraps along the way as opposed to me using a stand alone punch. The bitty pieces build up and make it hard to punch, so I have to move it occasionally.

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  2 года назад +1

      Yes, the punch seems more sturdy and reliable than those individual punches. I don't like punch chaff building up in a tool (such as the Corner Chomper).

  • @cherylcain890
    @cherylcain890 2 года назад +1

    It is pretty big, and you can’t use narrow scraps. But on the other hand, this is awesome! It cuts perfectly, and the designs are beautiful, I think it’s a win. The cons don’t ruin it for me.♥️♥️

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  2 года назад

      That's the important thing -- not every "con" is necessarily bad enough to prohibit purchasing it. It's up to the crafter to decide which features are important enough :) Thank you for watching.

      @@LollyPalooza I love your videos! I do want to add that if you were set on using narrow scraps, you could always attach it to a piece of wider cardstock with low tack tape, then after punching remove the tape. It looks like that would work. Thank you for all of your wonderful ideas!♥️♥️I just read other replies and saw someone else had the same idea, oops🤪

    • @LollyPalooza

      I realize that with the preset notches, the punch holder has to move at a specific increment. However, they could put two scallops in each cut.

  • @joyjournal6157
    @joyjournal6157 2 года назад +1

    That is beautiful! But you're right, need smaller cuts and need to be able to use smaller pieces of paper. I've been looking at buying one but now I know it's not for me. Thank you for saving me money!😊

    Fiskars had something similar yrs ago... wonder if their punches would work in this and vice-versa. Fiskars had some smaller designs too. They make great belly bands for home decore. I use them to cover up labeling on candles and such when I reuse the container.

      I saw on another site (don't remember where) when it first came out that the Fiskars ones are actually a bit bigger than the WRMK. So sadly they won't work. I'd probably purchase the punches if they did as that heart one is gorgeous!

    Good review but I am wondering the cost of each die unit. Your little book project is just beautiful. I don't make scrapbooks and make embellishments for my art journals. So, I think the designs may be too big for an edging on an art journal.

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  2 года назад +1

      Once punched, you might be able to tear off pieces to use in your journal.

  • @oricle81
    @oricle81 2 года назад

    Hi Lolly, thanks for the demo! It is very similar to the Fiskars one that was brought out years ago as well as the Creative Memories one. If you're looking for smaller designs, CM is the way to go. Fiskars had the option of using their smaller punches (there was an adapter plate for certain punches) in the big alignment tool which helped. I still have mine but don't use it as much as it's big and sounds like it's bigger than the WRMK version. Since I have all of the Fiskars, I don't think I'll get this one and after watching your video, I'll stick with that decision. They are great- but like you said, more for scrapbookers rather than card makers. Thank you for sharing!

    I think once you know the width you need for the design you could stick it to a scrap oh paper/junk mail and that would be great for the cut out strip x

      Yes, you could always use temporary adhesive to hold your paper to get it into the punch.

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  2 года назад

      I have found them called various names, depending on which online seller is listing them. Some simply call them border punches. I think "edge punch" works better than "border punch" in the search.
