While investigating the curious case of a vanishing monster, Haruki meets Kaori, a mysterious woman glaring at an old ferris wheel. Meanwhile, people are going missing from the town one after another... What's the truth behind the case? And just who exactly is Kaori?
★Series Synopsis
Once, shards of evil called “Devil Splinters” were scattered across space, throwing the galaxy into chaos. At that time, Ultraman Z, a new member of the Inter Galactic Defense Force who sought out Ultraman Zero as a mentor, comes down to Earth while chasing the Ferocious Space Shark Genegarg. On Earth, the Anti-Monster Robot Force STORAGE is formed to face down the monsters that appear on a daily basis. In his first battle, Z merges with Haruki Natsukawa, a new pilot of STORAGE. Together, they rise up to protect the peace! However, behind the scenes, the parasitic lifeform Celebro has set a terrifying plot into motion…

After watching Challenge From The Year 2020 of Ultra Q and this episode back to back, I really appreciated just how many references they were able to put in. Sound effects and music from the series are constantly being used at all the right moments, Kemur itself is fantastic and the perfect kind of creepy abduction phantom that the original show set it out to be, and Pagos is also put in as a less in-depth reference to his Ultra Q. This episode, at least for me, symbolizes just how deep Z goes into the Ultra Q rabbit hole, and maybe that's why I love it so much

Maybe that's why the movie, Shin Ultraman, is so intriguing for me. It too started with some Ultra Q monsters as references.

And next time, we get to here Ultraman Ace in English! ... And hopefully they'll use the term "Choju" rather than "terrible-monster." That was certainly an awkward translation choice in the sub, and one that wasn't done in the Netflix show.
There's always the term's literal translation, "Super Beast", since that was used for Mebius's own English subs.

You're right. Terrible-Monster sounds too generic. Choju does sound brand new and unique. Although, I hope that they use the term "Super Beast".
Unfortunately he preview alredy uses "Terrible-Monster"
I appreciate that Haruki's "Okay!" is more intense with Delta Rise Claw in this dub, in keeping with the sub.
This Is Another One Of My Favorite Episodes In Ultraman Z Because It's A Homage To Ultra Q Episode 19 "Challenge From The Year 2020"

Talking about Ultra Q, my favourite episodes are 9: Baron Spider, 16: Garamon Strike Back, 22: Metamorfosis, and 27: The Disappearing of the Flight 206.

Tsuburaya in this 2023 will be the 30th Anniversary of the epic Crossover that they did with Toei in 1993 called: Ultraman vs Kamen Rider
My question is, do you have any plans to celebrate that Crossover for this 2023 with a special or a movie or something like that? I know that reaching an agreement with Toei is somewhat complicated, but if they managed to do that special, I know that they can do it again.
As a fan of Ultraman and Tokusatsu in general, I would love to see the Giant of Light and the Masked Rider see be together once more to defeat evil and darkness.
