    I have one in Damascus coming. It should be here tomorrow. I’m really liking the look of the new Civivi Damascus. I finally get to see it for myself.

    I know it seems to be splitting hairs in a realistic sense, but the 101mm does in fact convert to 3.976 inches, so with that in mind, Civivi was probably very adamant on keeping it under the actual 4 inch mark. Something about seeing the 3.98" number will probably be a factor in some people actually purchasing it, even though the difference between the 3.98" and 4" mark is almost comical and obviously not a noticeable difference when the average person is eyeing it out. But glad to see Civivi really making a keen effort to bring fresher and more unique designs to the table on a regular basis. They went through that weird "cookie cutter" phase about a year ago where every design for about 6 months seemed like they were just variations of a previously released model. But great commentary on the design, and thanks for the look see LTK💪

    I got mine today. Pretty bad ass. I do like it. My only nit pick is the jimped liner lock release bar. I hate this style of release. It will make your thumb sore if you fidget flip it.

    Found it on Amozon while buying a Kizer Mystic and Civivi Sentinel Strike. Bought the micarta version for 66 bucks. Honestly its more of a novelty... and if ya like big knives, you've got to buy big knives, or they'll go away.

    Nice chunky boy, but it... lack something. Like its nice sharp design but doesnt give that feel of a "work horse" even if its that big. I think it would look WAY better as framelock and with rough stonewashed blade finish, with that It would give you that sensation of "Im big, im sturdy, I deal lot of damage"

    • @techromancerzero2709
      @techromancerzero2709 Год назад

      I also loved stonewash. But then I did some reading on it and it turns out it is the worst in terms of corrosion resistance, compared to be blasted, satin, or mirror finish (which is the best). It also has more drag when slicing. And the stonewash finish will eventually polish off and leave weird shiny spots on your blade. The only practical value is that hides small scratches.

    • @paranoiia8
      @paranoiia8 Год назад

      @@techromancerzero2709 yeah its not best but who care that its like few percentage worst than satin or coating or give 0.1% more resistance when cutting? Its look nice, and I have bunch of stonewashed knifes, few that I acid-dipped and stonewashed my self, and I dont really "take care" of my knifes and they still look ok. Few times I get rust spots after using knife in rain, and leaving it in car for few days, most of that rust disappear after just cleaning it with cloth.
      Blade Finish have the same problem with type of steel. There is always small bunch of knife snoobs that are very loud in showing their opinion, slapping empty numbers and price range over internet, when In real life I use for most of time 14c28 or D2 and it work the same as s30 or M390... It cut... I still need to sharpen it once in a while... It get dirty... so why bother spending more? So stonewash is not best, but you rust your knife to the point it get red from it... you can get another one.

    What a suprise he likes a budget linerlock and only talks about action and dimensions. Im convinced you never use all these knives and just flip them all day and get them send to you for a positive review. Yeah, in that case your beloved sencut folders are plenty enough quality!
