Whenever it comes down to not having worked out for 2 weeks or so, its not the looks im most worried about but rather the strength, really puts you behind and makes you feel weak

I'm oftentimes stronger after 2 weeks off, especially if those were at the end of a brutal training block where I absolutely needed a deload or rest

For me the hardest part of taking time off of the gym are the toll it takes on my mental health and the struggle of returning to a routine to get back into it.

He literally just changed lighting and worse posing to scare away people, not to mention you'd geg it back in like 2 weeks toi

Also, there's a significant lighting difference. In the video on the left, the lighting is coming from the side (seems to be natural lighting, so most likely a windonw) and in the left, it's coming from a lamp right in front of him. I would assume it's just a meme or something, and if you think you look that much worse, it probably has more to do with the guilt of not having worked out for two weeks than how you actually look.

personally it does not make any sense that your body would lose so much muscle in only two weeks.

i cut open my hand about a month ago (had to take a break from working out) then right when i was able to start again, i sprained my ankle. i’m gonna start working out again tomorrow after a 1 month break.
i feel like my biceps are slightly smaller but that’s the only change i noticed

I have the same "problem" and a sports student explained to me at the time that I don't have the optimal performance curve, or in other words, that I don't recover enough. Everyone's recovery time seems to be different. For example, with chest training, about 4-5 days between training sessions is best for me. So a full body workout twice a week is not as effective.

@@mariusludwig3971 jup, it can differ per person. But if you're feeling overtrained or your're not making progress in weight it works for most people

I had pneumonia so I had to take 4 weeks off. I am merely just glad to have my health back and be able to work out again, even though I lost muscle. Just the stress relief and endorphins from working out alone are worth it for me. It’s just nice to be able to work out again, although my left lung still hurts.

Taking a week or two long break every few months is very beneficial in lifting. It gives your body well deserved time to recover after months of hard work. You will be a bit weaker and smaller, but you don't lose any noticeable muscle in that period of time. As soon as you start lifting, your physique will be back after q few days. So don't feel bad for taking a week of the gym, your body needs it.
    Stay strong and consistent💪

Sometimes, one or two weeks off can really improve your strength because your body has time to regenerate.

You actually gain muscle for the first week you quit, since you're 'resting'

If you need to take a break from training for any reason the best thing you can do is eat right to minimize the lost of gains, but in all honesty, the longer you have been training the harder it is to lose that progress, most of the visual changes are due to water retention more than anything
