Commonwealth Youth Games Round Up

Team TTO cyclists Syndel Samaroo and Danell James raced to Silver and Bronze in the Men's Sprint at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games at the National Cycling Velodrome in Balmain, Couva today.
TTO was guaranteed at least one medal when the two Sprint cyclists met in the Semi Final round.
Samaroo beat his team mate in straight rides to advance to the Final against Australia's Tayte Ryan.
James meanwhile faced Malaysia's Darwish Sanusi in the Bronze race.
Samaroo gave his all against the four-time Aussie National Champion and took Silver after Ryan won in straight rides.
James lost race one of the third place match-up but incredibly roared back in the next two to take Bronze.
After the feat, Samaroo and James spoke about the importance of home support.
