    Height of colimation = 50500 +756 =51256mm
    a) 60835 -51256 = 9579mm on the staff
    b) 51256 - 47340 = 3916mm on the staff (correct me if I am wrong)
    Thanks for the video. I am extremely excited a came across it.

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  4 года назад +3

      Correct! a) will be above the laser and b) will be below.
      I see now the 60835 would be actually impossible to set on typical 5m staff :)

    hi there, im a new subscriber, i was wondering if i am trying to get some levels with this laser, how do i get the readings? i mean do i have to move up and down the staff the receiver so it could take some readings if i go down a slope?

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  3 года назад +1

      Hi Omar! In theory yes, as the laser is spinning at the same level (height of collimation). It all depends what height differences as if big I would use a tape measure and measure from the receiver and if small you can play with the staff.

      if I may just add ... there are plenty of books out there and it's hard to say what's best for who. But some prefer the classic "Surveying for Engineers By J. Uren, W.F. Price.". The 5th edition might be costly but you still can find (if lucky) the 4th edition (the used one) for a good price

    • @SITENG
      @SITENG  3 года назад

      Hi Saulo! There is no dumb questions! I set it there just to explain how to work with the laser having a datum. Normally you will set it yourself using master datum, or resection. When on site this information is provided by the client.

    • @negotiummeum9643
      @negotiummeum9643 2 года назад +1

      yeah, it depends on what you do and at what stage of construction ... but let's say if you wanna do some setting out for dry-lining the master datum is already on the site long before. So you just take it from there :)
