Filipino here, we could have been one of the strongest at least at southeast asian extent if only our government allocated more enough funds. But at least we made our debut at women's world cup, getting our first win. So maybe there's a hope.
Vietnam 🇻🇳, Indonesia 🇮🇩 and Thailand 🇹🇭 have stronger teams and have more of a chance at qualifying for the World Cup. I still hope you guys qualify though.

1.For Indonesia, although our country still had yet to qualify as an independent nations, in 1938, the country, as Dutch East Indies, played against Hungary and lost 0-6. The 1986 World Cup was the closest time we qualified for the World Cup, losing to South Korea in the second to last qualifier games of the AFC. In recent times, the U-17 national team played in the World Cup as a host, and we even grabbed the first goal and the first point of the World Cup history (for all levels).
2.India also played in the U-17 World Cup as a host in 2017, but they lost all group games and were eliminated in the group with USMNT, Ghana, and Colombia. The tournament saw the emergence of Phil Foden as the future Manchester City stars.

Pakistan and and India has played 207 times against each other, Pakistan has won 88 times compared to India's 75. And all this after India recently starting to catch up while Pakistan cricket going into a downward spiral. Otherwise just a decade ago, number of wins was almost twice to India.

11:50 FYI - the Constitution of India does not allow dual citizenship for its own economy and security reasons and it is not going to change for one sport.
The biggest problem of countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, India or Afghanistan is that their mostly people don't have any interest in football and their governments also don't care about it because they only have interest in Cricket. That's why a few number of football fans from these countries always suffer.
Indian government doesn't even have interest in cricket, they are only interest is ₹5000 crore in tax that BCCI have to pay

As a Filipino fan. Baskatball is my sport but football deserves to be better there even if basketball will be always number one.
Football in general deserves its place in every decent sized country.
But for the Philippines deserves to see a team in the WC for men’s or see better niche. I think there are regions that have decent love for football, but in Manila it’s too nonexistent or sadly stereotyped into this rich type sport which is ridlcious.
Even in America, it isn’t known like that. I hope by 2030, the team can at least get another AFC cup and hopefully get a win and maybe 2028 Olympics.
Hopefully some more local talent can actually get produced. We have had some talent like Neil etheridge and Stephan schrock, but they are fil-foreigners. We need to not just rely on half Filipinos but local talent.
