  • In this week's 2 Minute Tuesday, we learn how to use a new Tool Axis Control strategy for the multi-axis toolpaths in Mastercam 2023 called Tilt Relative to Reference Surface. This creates the same motion as the Clean Core method without the need to turn on a collision control strategy.

    In this example, why would you even need to tilt at all?

      This way you’re always utilizing the most of the ball endmill sidewall where the flutes have the most contact area with the workpiece throughout the entire tool path. Never using the ball center tip where there’s basically one flute
