I lived in Alabama (Anniston) and absolutely loved it. My daughter was in the 5th grade and my son was a junior in high school. He wasn’t thrilled with living there and neither was my then husband whose job led us there in the first place! 🙄. But my daughter and I never wanted to leave but after a year, he was again transferred to Indiana (nope) and me and the kids stayed in our former hometown of Mountain Home, AR. Now my son lives in KC, MO and my daughter lives in Nashville, TN. I’m still in Arkansas just not in MH anymore. And yes, the people we met, lived next to, who waited on us in restaurants, and those we met in church were absolutely the nicest people I have ever met! If it weren’t for my son wanting to graduate with his buddies he grew up with in MH and my ex accepting the transfer, we would still be living there. Arkansas is beautiful but so is Alabama…I really miss it. 😢❤

@@prollins6443 "Assault rifle" is a bs way of designating a firearm, in that it's a catch-all buzz word for the media and people who fear black rifles. Most of what laymen call assault rifles are "scary" black semi-auto rifles with styling similar to what military personnel would use. It would be more appropriate to make the distinction by using the name "selective-fire rifle" for the full auto rifles shot in this video, and "machine gun" for stuff like the M2 Browning.
@UncleTriangle the G-36 is used by the German military, along with other nations, and can fire full-auto. It meets all conditions to be called an assault rifle. While I do agree with calling out the media's bullshit on the AR-15, this isn't the same. If you watch the video, the gentleman explains that if he were to ever lose his license for any reason, he would have to turn in the G-36 to the government immediately!
@@prollins6443 You are certainly more knowledgeable about this subject than i am - but the instructor in the video - who does seem quite knowledgeable - distinctly uses the term "machine gun" to describe a subset of the guns on display. Gotta give them credit though. They went from zero straight to semi-auto long guns! Normally for the uninitiated semiauto long guns are the final step. Hell was that even a S&W 500 i saw them firing??
@@marksmith4892For being completely inexperienced, they did rather well. Not sure if that was a 500 tho. The ones I've shot are hand cannons with much more muzzle flash. Most first timers end up with the gun over their heads. 😂😂😂

I love how the RSO explained the NFA and the process associated with obtaining automatic weapons. I'm sure most of the uninitiated around the world have preconceived notions about the availability of firearms that are almost wholly false. And seeing "gun virgins" and just knowing the experience they felt, awesome 👍😎..
Hell, most Americans are ill-informed as to NFA items - many don't even know how to define "semi-automatic" or that "assault" isn't a real thing. They are equally ill-informed as to what a terrible agency the ATF is and how horribly they infringe.
When I got my LTC years ago my safety instructor said you will never be able to watch a tv show or movie again without being a critic. People do NOT realize how guns work and how difficult it is to hit a target 25 yards in front of you without any training or practice.
What's pitiful is that that shouldn't even be a thing. They're infringements. Those preconceived notions should be a reality, and a reality in which we shouldn't be apologetic about, no matter what outsiders think.. It's like weak Christians who water down God's words to cater to non-believers who want nothing to do with him.
@@VideoSpectator1223 NFA has nothing to do with self-defense. NFA is simply an over-reach of the ATF in an attempt to "regulate" (read: violate the 2nd Amendment). If he had the appropriate licenses for an automatic weapon (which goes beyond NFA) and the conditions for self-defense were in place, then it doesn't matter what weapon you use for self-defense. This is a very generalized statement I'm making here. The "conditions for self-defense" are a tricky thing - especially depending on the State and the goddamn District Attorney involved. Bottom line: the weapon used is irrelevant to whether or not you may execute lethal force in self-defense.

One thing I've always found with new shooters, is that when I'm teaching them proper grip, stance and sight alignment it can be overwhelming at first. Sometimes it is best to let them stand and grip the gun the way they feel comfortable with (within reason) and then give them small adjustments as they progress. Staying safe is always rule number 1 and having fun is rule number 2. Its hard for new shooters to have fun if they're intimidated by all of the "newness" of the situation. Us long time shooters have to remember that we've honed our shooting skills over decades of practice. That being said I really enjoyed this video, and you guys did great! Long live the 2A!

There's really at least six identifiable gun cultures in the US; Hunting/Fowling, SHTF/Tactical, Ghetto/Gang, Precision, Collector, and Competition. I'm sure we could slice those up in different ways, or add subcategories, but those are the ones that spring to mind.

I’m loving these traveling vids. Y’all are really living the American life ❤️👏🏽👏🏽
I hope you are enjoying your time here in Alabama, I have lived here my entire life and folks here are the nicest I have ever met. Firearms and hunting are part of the culture here. Thank you for posting this video I hope you have many more adventures here in the states.
@@karenbliss8719I’m from Indiana and now live in Alabama. People from the Midwest are just as nice, but in more of a hurry. They’re more New England speed with southern hospitality. It depends on how you take it if you think they’re more or less friendly. I’ve definitely seen the southern hospitality 2-face while here in Alabama (10 years.) They’ll be sweet as pie to your face and then talk shit behind your back. Not that it’s unique by any stretch, but I find midwesterners to be a little more direct.
@@stevewhiting556 You described it perfectly when you said people from the Midwest are more New England speed with southern hospitality. And yes, maybe the people we met and were around for only one year in Alabama were 2 faced but I try to just find the nice in everyone (which is probably why I get hurt a lot by people 🤷♀️). My husband now is the total opposite; he doesn’t trust anyone he hasn’t known for years and everyone is out to get something, they can’t just be nice for no reason! Lol! I guess we all have different views of people depending on our experiences. I don’t know exactly where Arkansans fit as far southern, midwestern, etc, but it’s probably like that everywhere…mean people, fake people, hardworking people, nice people, etc. it’s really hard to figure out nowadays so we just stay back on our little farm and only get out when we have to. God bless!!

Excellent video. So glad to see the Mrs. Participate as well. Thumbs up.
Now you guys know why we call a full auto rifle a “giggle stick” and the selector switch is the “giggle switch”! Nothing makes a grown man giggle more than shooting a full auto rifle or watching an explosives demo.
This is how it should be for anyone who is hesitant or a stranger to firearms. Be around instructors who know the weapons & stress safety above all else. 👍
I love people from different countries coming to experience OUR freedoms that they don't have!
Cool video. When I started watching Office Blokes a few years ago - i never imagined someday i'd be watching Daz and his family firing machine guns. Something you have to try once in your lifetime. Glad you posted this. Thanks.
These weren't machine guns! The G-36 would classify as an assault rifle since it was able to fire full-auto, but it is still a rifle.
I was simply repeating him. Perhaps you should take up your argument with him instead of a random person on this thread? Have a good day.
@@MrJeddYoung fair enough. I guess I didn't catch him saying that. Sorry.

Aidan decided not to go back to the UK; whipped out the American passport.

@@Timbothruster-fh3cw - Just kidding, but it was very much a possibility!
Aiden was born in America. I don’t know how dual citizenship works after so many years, but id think he doesn’t even need a passport to stay here.
I wonder if he registered for the Selective Service at 18, as required by law for every American male citizen. Doubtful.
Those are some slick (and not cheap) firearms those guys have! Great teacher as well. Good work!
I love when people from other cultures come to our country and share in ours.
That guy told Gaynor "Kill the dirt" LMAO I'm done.
So since he has an NFA Could he fire his fully automatic guns for self defense?

I used to go to a public range when I was visiting the USA. It's a lot of fun and I got to shoot guns I have never shot before. Probably helps to have basic military training
As a Native American, ive never in my 25 years of life been to a shooting range, i own a 40 acre backyard outside of city limits, i just go out in the middle of the woods in my backyard and shoot my pistol at any given moment. You cant mag dump at shooting ranges, i like my freedom to be able to mag dump.
Riiiiight?! I hate indoor ranges.
Happy to see that y'all got some propper instructors that properly teach beginners and ease them into it.
I've seen multiple videos of timid non-Americans getting poor "instructors" that just throw beginners into the range, like they know what they're doing. Usually with a larger caliber gun. Then they come out never wanting to experience it again.
Great video! Welcome to the US of A! This is a regular experience for us out west. Especially where I live in the southwest, Arizona, where it's not uncommon to see people walking around with their firearms in holsters. I guess in some ways we are still considered the wild wild west! I'm so happy to see you all experience this. I wonder, if you all could describe your experience of shooting these guns, there in Alabama in one word, what would it be. The first time I shot a gun the one word I described it as was LIBERATING!
Now that you have experienced shooting weapons up a dirt road you should think about a long 4-wheeler ride out in the mountains next.

But I guess they are less free than us?

That guy is a serious H&K collector. I suspect $30k-$50k worth of just H&K hardware on that table, and that's probably lowballing by a bit. There's really at least six identifiable gun cultures in the US; Hunting/Fowling, SHTF/Tactical, Ghetto/Gang, Precision, Collector, and Competition. I'm sure we could slice those up in different ways, or add subcategories, but those are the ones that spring to mind.
Yea my dad's gun room is full of rifles and shotguns of damn near every caliber but he couldn't care less about tactical guns whereas my brother builds those as a hobby. I'm all about the rifles myself, love me some sharpshooting
Yea, full auto anything is expensive in the states. I was looking into an AK a good few years back and it was $20k, which is ridiculous since you can get them in some countries for a goat and a rock. Just looked and a transferable full auto MP5k PDW is $60k.
