To me the 72* sounds the brightest, especially with the deeper mouthpieces

They all sounded good. Slightly different until the last demonstration where I thought the Vindabona sounded noticeably warmer or darker. But I guess it does come down to how the play and feel while you're playing them. Well, all the way from Los Angeles, CA. USA, thank you.

Thanks Richard, yes, I agree the vindabona is darker and warmer, especially with the deeper mouthpiece. All 3 trumpets are ML bore and share characteristics. I said in the video that the 72* has a 25 leadpipe but it is in fact a 43 which means they’ve all got a 43 leadpipe and the 72* and MLV have both got 72 bells. The 1 bell on the commercial isn’t too dissimilar. Pretty geeky but it was something I’d been exploring for a while and a progression that led me to the 1B as my main horn! All the best. Adam

Also, is the commercial Bach a large bore or Medium large bore, and is it noticeably freer blowing in the upper register?

It’s ML bore but definitely the easiest in the upper register! I think the bronze bell really helps
