what a birthday present. It is lovely but also thoughtful and layered. Both 15 cycle refrains are beautiful but the second one is extraordinary. Hearing it i wondered if you are doing what the french impressionist composers did when they redefined music. I felt you were doing the same but in a modern way. I really don't have the language to explain but my snowflakes were definitely dancing at the end. Saving Paul Beaudoin for when I have time to listen properly and give it the attention it deserves
Snowflakes dancing reminds me of one of my favourite songs "Epilepsy Is Dancing" the first lines are: "Epilepsy is dancing / She's the Christ now departing / And I'm finding my rhythm As I twist in the snow" I'm glad you like it, I am rather partial to a repetition but I don't really see them as repetitions so I am thrilled you called them "cycle refrains" I am definitely going to steal that term (!)
@@MatthewLeeKnowles And I am going to look for Epilepsy is dancing. Andsorry for being such a luddite over your abstract stuff- it really does go over my head!
