- I went on a quest during a protest in Dhaka, Bangladesh to find the best food in all the land... Burger King! What I didn't realize was the commotion I would cause in the streets!
My 5th full day in Dhaka, Bangladesh and the protests are carrying on! They shut down the street outside my hotel and I managed to escape into the streets! I was set on trying Bangladeshi Burger King but I didn't realize the commotion I would cause. This was during the world cup and I decided to wear my Brazil jersey out. Bangladesh is divided between two nations during the World Cup, Brazil and Argentina and they didn't hold back on either cussing me out or praising me for my jersey. Honestly I ain't even a football fan!

The reason Burger king is expensive here is because they import the patties from USA instead of making some here. They want to hold on to the "authentic taste" or whatever
@Jani Na Refrigeration exists for the past 100 years. It's possible to transport meat without it rotting 🤦♂
Also, Burger king(as well as other chains such as McDonalds) does the same thing for all of their US outlets. The patties are made in a single facilty, frozen and shipped to every restaurant. The workers there thaw it, fry it and serve it in a burger. The workers in individual restaurants aren’t making their own burger. They just fry the frozen patties made in Burger King factory

Casually risking your own life for a burger king. I mean burger king is not even the best burger shop here. You are lucky cause you didnt get in the middle of the protest. Sometimes these protests become real VIOLENT. You are lucky for not being eaten by them as a burger 🤣
Bro imma be honest it was worth it haha. Before the streets were shut down I had to walk through the protests every day to get to my hotel and I know they get violent but no one would fuck with me. Protesters wanted selfies with me, and I’ll fully admit I had the foreigner privallage and no one would mess with me while protesting. So calling it risking your life is kind of extreme haha
