Interesting way to do it. I built a smokeless fire pit using one barrel inside another. It's a lot more work but it burns so efficiently and so hot that a grill grate on top can't survive a single burn without warping into a melted mess
great timing. just got a "new" barrel and was about to use my hole saw. l'll try this instead. i like that vortex idea. who says old dogs can't learn.👍
Awesome tip! Thanks for the tutorial! I didn't know that Fiskars axe was able to do that. I'm glad it's environmentally friendly and that Singapore does this too.
Would there be any advantage in twisting the ax in the opposite direction to get the vortex counterclockwise to be similar to the fluid flow dynamics in this northern hemisphere?
Is there a way to make it even hotter? Do you know which temps would be needed to burn plastics as well? Would it Be possible to have some kind of forced air introduction, possibly even pure Oxygen and then at the output some filters? Altho you would need to somehow clean the filters after or if you use water, what has to be done to the water :S
You can rig up an enclosed drum with a lid, weld a vortex intake for a leaf blower and an exhaust out the top. That would incinerate almost anything. 👍

Good tip!
Using an axe is so much simpler than all the other guides!!!
Big stump burn fan and their guides involve grinders and saws for the opening.
I thought there would be more anger management
In Kansas we shoot up the barrel and use a little piece of hardware cloth or wire fencing 🤠
“Is axe, for wood?”
“No, is big can opener, for big can.”

Ok thank you Dean I been burning garbage in a barrel without holes, I will try that.

Great instructions & information; thanks for sharing!
Destroy the evidence 😂
So much evidence. 😂
Oh I thought you were getting rid of witnesses lol
Getting a barrel tomorrow to tryner out !
Great idea using an axe, thank you!
I used a 12g to make my burn barrel
again: look intro batch box rocket mass heaters. Clean, efficient, versatile and resilient tech for us northern people.
Cool 😎 🔥 thanks for sharing
I use a firepit covver on our burn barrel. I hadn't thought of trying to direct the airflow though...
Great info
My last fire barrel I made I just randomly shot a mag of 9mm at it and it worked perfectly 😂
Cool and easy 😊
Nice bbq grill
Gsg16 hell ya !!!!

No. Air isn’t like draining water. 👍
@@ArkopiaRUclips don't tornadoes and dust devils rotate counterclockwise. Probably a moot point anyway. So interesting...

no evidence. no witnesses. it never happened. DEAN you kill me LOL 😂
Does this work with a plastic barrel? 😜
Only once
guns from germany? so you got an air rifle then?
GSG, Heckler & Koch, Mauser, SIG Sauer, Luger... You were saying?
