30 Minute Mocs: A Finger for Pointing (S1: E1)

- Welcome to the 30 Minute Mocs Challenge! Watch as I race against the clock to complete a moc in 30 minutes or less! Look out for curve-balls! [ !!! ] Before submitting your ideas for custom 30MM challenges, please read the following guidelines below of challenge suggestions that I will be unable to accept or even consider:
• No combination models using exact pieces from official sets. This would require me to either partition out the parts or buy additional copies of sets, which I do not have the time or resources to do. If I acquire a pair or more of boxed sets I may make exception to this rule.
• No Mocs built based on the creative ideas of other Bionicle or CCBS fans, this includes Bioformers (in most cases, something exceptionally creative or different might be considered), other's Mocs/Self-Mocs, etc.
• No Mocs built using primarily system pieces or primarily generation 1 Bionicle parts, as my collection mostly contains current CCBS pieces.
• No excessively complex or large-scaled Mocs. Remember, I have to complete the challenge in 30 minutes, so there needs to be a least a fragment of hope that I can accomplish the challenge.

This is a really creative video series and I really like the content so far. An interesting challege would be to create a Takutanuva-style Umarak the Destroyer merged with Ekimu, using parts from those two sets only.

This is probably one of the more unique things I've seen in a while! You never fail to impress! A good idea to put in the bucket would be "Three Color Scheme Character".

Challenge suggestion: Build a strong looking Okotan villager/Protector without using the smallest CCBS torso frame.
I like how you secretly gave everyone the middle finger though the left hand of the moc.
Awesome idea. I love how well organised and clear you make everything in your videos, right down to matching the speed of the video with the timing of the music, and printing the suggestions in your font style! Lots of polish.
My challenge: Create an insectoid or arachnid-based creature with the correct number of appendages.
Build a creature using pieces from two toa that you choose.Hope you will pick mine :)
This is a really, really cool concept for a series. I hope you can make more of these!
First off, love the moc it's awesome. Only thing I would of had was something like making the eye glass thing to fit Onua's mask.
Second, for the challenges. Toa with different elements or themes that we've never seen before. So like a toa of electricity or a toa with a knight, space, pirate, cowboy theme. Something like that.
4 little creatures that combined into one toa/ bad guy.
Animals or creatures that can turn into weapons.
Super Hero themed. So like Spiderman, Batman, Booster Gold.
Creatures that look like vehicles. So like a cool looking wasp that's a jet, or a rat that's a car. If you get the reference then you rock even more then normal.
Zombies.
Dinosaurs.
Video game based. So like a moc that looks like something from Assassins Creed, Halo, Mario, anything video game.
Oh this is fun.
A functional bad guy or good using the lease pieces you can.
Make a toa or bad guy with out using any body peaces. Bone peaces are ok but that main body you can't use. So you have to make your own body.
Weapons, for toa or for humans.
Ok, that's all I got for now. Hope you like some of them.

Oh, and suggestion for a challenge- What a about a titan-sized guardian? Since we dont have titan sets (I dont classify Umarak as a Titan) and it can have some kind of relation to Okoto I think its a good idea :)

Hey, I saw you considered using an HF chestpiece, and a way to fill the gap in between the legs and the chestpiece is to place a metru chest armour piece under it. If you don't understand what I mean, I used it in my Umarak revamp, which I posted.
"So it's like a hailstorm" no it would probably be a frozen cave anyway cool ideas they should really do this for the third and potentially final wave of bionicle were you can mix and match
For things like this, you're gonna have to think lightning-fast.

+AnthonyM the Gamer Artist! Exactly. I twiddled my thumbs a bit too much this time. I hope to get better over time (which should improve my normal moc-making skills as well).
Recreate a Slizer using only Herofactory-Bionicle Gen-2 parts.
For a challenge, what about making a custom golden protector? Instead of some sort of protector of an element, the golden protector would be some sort of "Protector of Okoto"s primitive past" when all of the island was under one ruler. On the topic of the video, I thought this was fun to watch, and I think this series will be a sure favorite for many. In 30 minutes I thought this MOC looked great. A personal challenge for me is making custom torsos, but I do think yours are always great and/or effective.

well It's sort of like speed mocs + dicey mocs and I really like it !
Make a seventh Barraki, using the established rules of the first 6, I.E. no torso build that's been used before or since, use either bio-luminescent or dual-injected armor plating, have standard articulation, and have a design that lends itself to a sea animal. Randomization comes from what element the Barraki represents, one of the non-six main element ones, like Light (angler fish, maybe?) Shadow (Sea urchin?) Psionics (Cuttlefish?) and so on.
Love this video idea, and would love to see more 30 minute mocs. Also, I really like how it was more of a conceptual merging of Onua and Kopaka (as in not ONLY using their sets), which made the final product look, actually, surprisingly great! Also, I love seeing "leftovers" from Mocs, and where the designs could have gone; that Chi Razar chest with white torso armor combo looked great, as did the Kopaka mask with trans-purple eye. Keep up the great work! Oh, also, last thing, but, for an idea for a challenge, you could have a "make an interpretation of a G1 character out of G2 parts." If you're not that familiar with G1 characters, just tell me, and I'll tell you some more popular ones (and their main draws which you could incorporate: Rakshi, hip-twisting function, [insert character], color scheme, etc.), which you can Google image search.
Glad you liked the series. I can definitely relate that seeing the whole process and the leftovers can be a lot of fun.
Here's a unique idea: try to recreate a gen 1 villain using only ccbs and if it had a function (Bohrok, vahki etc.) incorporate that function into the ccbs model.
I'd love to see a challenge where you took six toa and six beasts and make a toa from all 6 and a beast from all 6, it could be like the 45 minute unity challenge?

What about a Bohrok MOC using the new Bionicle pieces that has at least 3 functions (like the krana, head banging thing, curling into a ball, etc)
How about creating a Bionicle animal? For example, creating an aardvark that has a unique tail function. I think that would be pretty cool.
First off, really love ur videosMy theme suggestion is to build a creature that would unite with Ekimu, Makuta, Umarak, or any of the skull villains.
+VelociJACKtor Would it unite in the traditional way? I would assume I would have to either find an alternate way to attach it or add a unity piece to one of those characters (maybe Umarak the Hunter would be an option).

I really like this series! I was a bit disappointed that you didn't restrict yourself to only the Uniter versions of kopaka and onua, but I guess I can understand. A challenge id like to suggest is a bioformer (a very tough challenge, but an interesting one). If you haven't heard of it, it's essentially a Bionicle transformer. My second suggestion is one of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse (again, a very tough one, many any future suggestions I'll mellow down).
+0mn0m8w31rdc4ndy I could definitely see that being a fun challenge. I probably would have done that if I had the parts parsed out ahead of time for each set. I tried to incorporate elements from them though and use as many pieces as I could grab that were in some way related to the official sets, but definitely was a mish mosh of parts.

+Merko_SK Hey Merko, glad you liked the video! The next in the series will only have the ticking in the first 5 seconds (the intro) and during the actual build. It will be muted down in the rest of the video. As for joints (I think you're referring to the legs rather than the feet) I definitely have had an obsession with them lately! I really need to do something different haha. In fact, my obsession with bipeds as really worn me out lately as well. I need to create some kind of 8 legged monstrosity.
I like your recommendation for a challenge for sure, but it might be out of the scope of the 30 minute timeframe!

try making a toa with all the elements
This is a really neat concept for a series. I only have one particular criticism and it's to do with the video production, not the moc itself! The studio footage is a little blown out (overexposed? not sure of the technical term) to the point where the details in the torso mould are lost and the white of the MOC starts to blend into the backdrop.

Do an anime/manga like figure with special powers. You don't have to make a character from a real anime/manga it just should like that anime/manga style!

The new 2016 Toa really have anime/manga styled masks! Especially Tahu, Lewa, Kopaka,... basically every Toa except Onua!
Or maybe instead of a challenge he does a moc using OVER 9000 peices!

My challenge: Remake Umarak the Hunter with his own color scheme, but with the exact build of one of the Uniter Toa.
AGH, white MOC with white background, eugh, my eyes. anyway, that's a pretty nice MOC ya made (even with the one finger lol). Another challenge you could use is to make a Titan set, like Umurak, or if you want to really go back, Hydraxon

I really like this, but could you maybe turn down the ticking in the song? its a little annoying. otherwise a really fun idea for videos and i think you did fairly well. I wouldn't have switched fingers at the end like that, you just did not have as much time as you thought i'm guessing

HOWEVER, after seeing this feedback and others like it, I've fine-tuned it so that you will only hear the ticking in the 4 second intro and during the actual challenge. Do you think this would improve the audio for you?

I have to say that moc was great. the costume idea for the head thumbs up. My challenge is you, -no time limit just build. -the must have 3 elements (your choice). -must use gear functions to attack and defend. -creatures until a must (your choice how they attach). -strongest element wearer of mask. -must be poseable. -weapon of other elements only. -The challenge is titled 'Elemental Bionicle Hero'. -Unity, Duty, Destiny. How will stand against Umurak the Destroyer!?
