  • Dr. Ware expressly stated his own primary theme: “Jesus Christ became one of us in order that He might die for us, in order that He might save us.” He uses a lot of Scripture, drawing primarily from Hebrews 2 and Hebrews 4, in addition to Isaiah 53. His main emphasis is on Christ Himself experiencing suffering and disability so that He could be our “sympathetic high priest.” As seen through the lens of his son’s tragic paralysis at age 16, Dr. Ware recounts the many demonstrations of the Lord’s faithfulness and provision to their family, despite God choosing not to physically heal his son.

Very good point. Jesus was greatly disabled by entering this system. We only experience a filtering of God's power on this Earth. It is much much greater than in this sad bubble of a physical world. Our sin only allows a little of his love in like some toxic filter blocking out air, water and sunlight from a thirsty, suffocating, hungry plant.

Thank you for addressing strongholds which some believe limit them.
And yes I never fully considered how much God loves us that He became flesh and in doing so became least.
Racial reconciliation? There is only one race and that is mankind.
And disability? I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Satan wants to tell you about race, disability, and anything ending with ism. Throw out all that and trust in God.
    Amen!
