Well, I can say that this got me stoked to get a machine like this. The possibilities are nearly endless and I was so impressed to see that it could cut through the 20mm pine. Regarding the plywood that you painted and sanded afterward, why not paint first and then engrave afterward so no sanding would be required?
Thanks for the comment. So what you suggesting is the inverse, I will try that. I did also find another method of using masking tape, I should do a video or a short on that
Yes, I'm suggesting the inverse so it will be like the anodized aluminium you also did. Also, a thought that came to mind, and I might be wrong, was that perhaps the paint is absorbed too deep into the wood, having to sand off too much and letting the other layers come through.
A good site is www.sa-argus.com/industries-materials/. Where did you find to buy. You can also get plywood from Takealot, www.takealot.com/wood-butter-ply-3mm-thick-28-boards-value-pack-60-x-40cm/PLID92640043
Hi there!!! Could you please do a video on engraving and cutting on acrylic. Also maybe on cutting mylar plastic sheets.....😊 Would love to see how it does with that. Thank you😊
Would love to see how this machine fairs against engraving on leather🧐
I will be doing that soon, unfortunately I did not have any leather at the time. Maybe I will do a quick short
Are you going to test on Acrylic cut and engrave. Would like to see to what thickness you can cut Acrylic
I will add that to my list of items to test and report back ;-)
Great video! Where did you get the 3mm ply wood from which you lasered?
Hi, I got it from Takealot, www.takealot.com/wood-butter-ply-3mm-thick-28-boards-value-pack/PLID92640043
Great review. Loved your excitement.
Thanks so much! Needed to hear that ;-)
What were your settings on the 21 mm wood. Speed and power
Hi, sorry for the late reply, I did max power, 200mm/m and 3 passes
