Dualism in philosophy now means there are two ontologies, matter and spirit for example. As opposed to monist belief, like atheistic materialism. In 2020 most people would assume you mean that.
Older people, especially Christians, mean what Lewis is saying: two ultimate and co-equal divinities.

@@miapia5890 No the primary presumption about what is meant by the term... has changed. Decades ago it was assumed that the term meant two ultimate and co-equal divinities, and if someone meant that they were good and did not need to clarify or provide contextual cues to indicate. Then it slowly changed such that a person could mean either, depending upon context. But now we’ve reached the place where it is strongly assumed that the term “dualism” is being proposed as opposed to monism. So, what I originally wrote is correct. You made a good guess to claim it could mean either and that there was no real default, but your guess was wrong. There *is* an assumed, default meaning. And many years ago, there also was, but that default has changed.

What exactly is evil about allowing suffering? I ask this because if one holds to the idea that all choices lead to blessings and consequences and the parameters of each have been explained, it would be against God's word to keep suffering away. The assumption here is that suffering is bad in the first place. I mention choices because if one dismisses the parameters of consequences and blessings through choices, then is mad at a God they say doesn't exist because they suffered from that choice, is miserably self defeating. If one then expresses That not all suffering necessarily happens due to choice, then one must explain what is so wrong with that suffering for the future is not in the now.

Please study the Word of GOD: suffering and death came into this world because of sin! Before sin everything was perfect. Through JESUS CHRIST we can go back to paradise - thank HIM for this before it's too late!

6:10 I fail to see how labeling our enemies as mentally deformed is any better than labeling them born evil. It's really only a question of whether you prefer Soviet style indoctrination or Fascist style extermination. Now yes, sometimes we deem good evil and evil good but we're also not omniscient. God is and is making moral judgements based on us knowing He exists or at least being convinced to a reasonable amount.
