60 million down the drain Kai Havertz scores again! We are a rehabilitation center for failed stars. I'm up for the challenge if Arteta feels like he can save him let the man cook.
We already have a good enough team to compete for the title, what we lacked is squad depth. Not just bodies on the bench but players that can come in and keep or up the level of the team. What Arteta did this transfer window is to get bodies that barely contribute to the team out and bring in capable hands. For example, Ben white could have a little knock and it’s okay cuz we have Timber and Tomiyasu to cover. If Gabriel M isn’t firing, we have a Calafiori to deputize. Zinny can be rested for games that the teams have very dangerous wingers cuz we have capable back up. If Partey or Rice need a rest, Merino is a capable deputy. Unlike before, we barely had capable back ups. And then we’ve earned more from player sales this season than we have done in the last 5 seasons 😂😂😂.

Our main problem is in the foward department. Signing a striker isn't as important as signing a winger. Saka CANNOT play evey single game again if we are serious about winning something and arteta doesn't even trust nelson
I personally think Nunez could be a big signing for us. People will disagree to this because of how poor he‘s been at Liverpool.
Fair enough but have you considered the threat he causes on the ball and off the ball movements?
This is a man who unfortunately under perform his xG but the fact that he generates those xGs is very important to his development.
He can operate as a CF (natural position) and on the wing.
His passing game isn’t the best but he knows the spaces and how to attack them. He doesn’t time his runs but I think in time he’ll get better with that.
He’s a pressing monster and a duel winner, he runs the pitch has a the ability to drive the ball and most importantly take risks. He’s under performing his xG because of how he tries to take shots from nearly low goal scoring angles and ranges.
He tried to complicate easy things and make ease of complicated situations.
His ability in the air could benefit us a lot and if we can get him to working in the box more often especially in the air, we might unlock the Darwin Nunez of Benfica.
We‘ll be getting a player over six foot who is agile and has lots of pace, loves to cause chaos and can be a sh*thouse in the face of the opposition.
We would expect him to score goals but for me that wouldn’t be what we should be looking out for most in him but how that benefits Havertz and Saka.
He‘ll have wingbacks, Fullbacks or Center backs pinned deep in their half and tend to stretch the opposition line giving Saka more space to attack in the central areas like he did against Wolves.
Nunez will always make the fast run and with the intelligence of Merino, Ødegaard, Saka,Ben White, Calafiori, Timber, Zinchenko and Tomiyasu in the final third will always put the ball into the spaces he leaves behind as a result of his early runs allowing Havertz (most of the time ) as well as Merinoto arrive late into the box or receive a pass in those spaces.
We can be rest assured he’ll get caught offside so many times but if your team can use those runs to an advantage you can always have people getting into good attacking areas on the pitch.
He misses a million chances, not clinical enough for us

Absolutely agree, idk why people cant see it but if he can integrate into our team then hes gonna make haaland look like a kid. Dont get me wrong haaland is good but he cant create his chances he has nothing but strength and pace. But darwin is special, he has pace, can press, wins duels, can play as false 9, can play on wings, and when he presses omfg hes brutal. He has the pace to make counterattack look so easy and is skillful enough. With proper training he will be a beast. His profile is similar to isak to be very honest.
I’ll rather keep Kai Upfront than buy a guy who’ll make us lose the title by losing the the winning goal 🥅. There’s a reason why slot is playing a short player like Jota upfront knowing he can’t be an aerial threat. No manager is that stupid. Klopp was just desperate to make it work since it was his signing not because he didn’t know the guy would cost his team vital points.

It is annoying that many fans keep moaning about not signing enough players/CF because they obviously are ignoring the lack of availability of great players that would actually improve us. It's been a quiet window for all clubs (except Chelsea....who seem to think they are building an NFL side 😅) because of this.
Gyokeres and Osimhen are available, just pay the money
For years Arsenal fans said we needed a defensive mid to cover the back 4. For years this plea was ignored, we had good periods where Coquelin seemed promising, Xhaka was a good pick but lacked discipline and had a mediocre start to his Emirates life. We had that good run in 22-23 and an even better one when we finally got Rice who is as good a CDM as you'll come across. For even longer we cried out for a world class striker, and reaped some benefit from Pierre-Emerick. The difference between Arsenal winning a cup and not is likely 8-12 goals. Goals during the difficult matches, a clinical forward to convert the innumerable chances we make. If Martinelli can improve on his form it would likely make the difference, but why take the risk? Why not just go out one more time and splurge 80 odd million on a proven, clinical and class forward who will all but guarantee us a title?! Havertz has been great but is prone to miss sitters. Saka needs cover and Jesus is injury prone. We need an attacking option that will hit the ground running, anything else will likely leave us second place again. Haaland has 4 goals in 2 games. We need a menace of a similar caliber or close.

It's clear by now Mik's not looking at a world beating striker like Osimhen, Havertz is obviously his guy, Edu's not going to mess up his near perfect transfer record by splashing 100+ on a 26 y/o bench warmer

Darwin Nunez's xG makes me think he's salvageable like Havertz. He is indeed bad at shooting. But his xG means he's constantly threatening. That's enough to significantly ease the pressure on our right wing, leading to more successful attacks. ATM, our right wing is always heavily guarded because the opponents can spare more defence from the left and focus on our right wing.
Finally a legit, sane, honest review and video. I'm onboard. I'd like to see us sighn Gyokeres and a Winger.
Stories about interest in players like Nunez could just be for negotiating. It's stupid to just have one target, because they will just jack up the price.
They don't have to sign THE forward, just sign A forward, even if its someone on loan

IMO we NEED a striker and probably an attacking mid or a winger. We're and Odegaard injury away from being in trouble (can't rely on Nwaneri - he's a kid, and Havertz won't do in the 10 position). If Arteta puts Jesus on the right wing as a rotation player for Saka, cool, then all we need a striker like Gyokeres or Toney - a targetman, clinical finisher, a PLAN B if you want - someone who doesn't need 5-6 chances to score like Havertz, but 2-3. Those are pretty much the numbers what cost us the League last season. Two. Frickin. Points.
I don't know why more people aren't mentioning Toney. I know it's likely he's off to Saudi now since Chelsea and Osimhen are now close but I think Toney would be the perfect signing right now

My take, buy Darwin or mudryk as weird as it sounds I feel like mudryk can still be good and with Darwin I feel he can be so good up top for Arsenal but that’s just my opinion

I’d wonder to see how we attack with the 3:4:3 diamond we briefly saw last year with Havertz at the tip and Martinelli leading the attack.
In terms of switching it up, that can be a plan. And I truly think Gabi will benefit from this, he puts his head down and runs at defences too much to be a play making winger.
I think he can benefit from the more “ABC” decision making sort of how Havertz did when they moved him at 9.

Isak will coast 100+ million from Newcastle and he is injury prone. If rumors are true. Liverpool are willing to sell for 40 million that’s a steal. Nunez is worth 40 million. He compliments Arteta brand up too. Isak is better suited on the wings but not worth forming out 100 million plus.
