Eumig Projector Assembly Line

A look back at the 1970s assembly line, when Eumig in Austria were a major supplier of film projectors. Included also in this video is a projector back up and running again, taken last year, after many years of storage.

Grazie Sig. Graham Ritchie per questo video. Le immagini della fabbrica Eumig con migliaia di operai, sono commoventi: erano 7000 all'epoca del P8. Nel 1973, come regalo di laurea, mia madre mi donò un cineproiettore Eumig Mark S 710D. Senza esitazione iniziai a sonorizzare i miei film girati in 8 e S8 mm. In quell'anno, dopo aver "sognato" da ragazzo l'Eumig P8 e successivamente l'Eumig Mark S, il sogno si materializzò. Uso ora lo stesso cineproiettore per digitalizzare i miei film.

Thank you Mr. Graham Ritchie for this video. The images of the Eumig factory with thousands of workers are moving: there were 7000 at the time of the P8. In 1973, as a graduation gift, my mother gave me an Eumig Mark S 710D movie projector. Without hesitation I began to soundtrack my films shot in 8 and S8 mm. In that year, after having "dreamed" of the Eumig P8 and subsequently the Eumig Mark S as a boy, the dream materialized. I now use the same projector to digitize my films.
