We've had hyped videos made about our city, even BLM in town a couple times protesting just to find the same simple living people you found. I thought it was gonna be Vidor, Texas lol. Alot of these towns that use to be super racist were told they either change or all the businesses would pullout and they slowly dieout, so alot of them have at least put up an appearance that they changed.

Harrison is getting better. I have had problems with people here because I’m from Detroit. I think mostly they are nice people here with some misguided family roots.

Texan speaking here...Military Brat, that grew up with all colors of people (think Military kids highschool)... Married a Black/German woman.. Grew up with that flag around .. but not in our house. for many of us, our neighbors flew a confederate flag as a representation of Southern Pride.. As far as the people I grew up around it didn't carry a racist undertone.. Yes people who are racist fly that same flag, but I would say 90% of the people who used to fly one.. it was about southern pride and 4 wheelin, hunting, Camping, drinking beer on memorial Day and just being crazy Southern Untamed Americans.. But now we fly Trump Flags instead.
