Southerners know racism is wrong.. we are people first.. why ARE we are some of the nicest in the WORLD?? Texan speaking here...Military Brat, that grew up with all colors of people (think Military kids highschool)... Married a Black/German woman.. Grew up with that flag around .. but not in our house. for many of us, our neighbors flew a confederate flag as a representation of Southern Pride.. As far as the people I grew up around it didn't carry a racist undertone.. Yes people who are racist fly that same flag, but I would say 90% of the people who used to fly one.. it was about southern pride and 4 wheelin, hunting, Camping, drinking beer on memorial Day and just being crazy Southern Untamed Americans.. But now we fly Trump Flags instead.
