    • @LikeMindedLunatics
      @LikeMindedLunatics  Год назад +1

      I know. It's really kind of exciting thinking about where he's at now as an artist, and where he might go. I said this in a previous video, but we saw him here on Austin at a small club, and it was stunning. I found myself wondering as I watched him if that was what it was like seeing Van Halen in a tiny club back in 1976 in L.A. The room just seemed too small to contain the music, but at the same time, Wolf was so, so nice. It was like he was just a buddy hanging out on stage who happened to be an amazing musician.
      And I desperately hope you're right about rock. I feel like it's time for a new group of artist to bring that anger and in your face energy back.

    Awesome video dude! I love how Wolf very much does his own thing but at the same time you hear and see a lot of things he does with the guitars like the accenting , fingers over the top of the fret board and the pick scratches and I’m just like hmmm...wonder where he got that from 😎🤘 and the fact he is keeping it alive is awesome. He’s gotta be one of the most if not the most talented guy in the industry in my opinion. There’s a lot of talented guys but wolf literally does it all and the song writing in itself is next level you can tell he is a perfectionist it’s not just thrown together. Great work just got a new subscriber 🤘

      Thanks so much! We're glad you liked it!
      He is so, so talented, and even better, he genuinely seems like an empathetic, decent guy. I was devastated when Eddie passed. I talk about it a lot in the "Distance" and "Dreams" video I posted last week, and after Ed died, I spent a ton of time just watching interviews and stuff like that. And Wolf seems like a really nice, cool guy.
      And I can't imagine the weight he must feel on his shoulders. Like I said in that previous video, I know how it felt for me losing Eddie, just a fan of VH. Wolf lost all that stuff, plus a dad who adored him. That's gotta be just debilitating.
      So I'm so, so happy Wolf is doing his thing. Creating music that's his, while also throwing things in there that people like us, people who loved his dad, will immediately see.
      And if you haven't already, we'd love it if you hit the subscribe button and stick around the channel.

      @@LikeMindedLunatics already subscribed 🤘 if you haven’t already I would check out Wolfs interview he did with Bill Burr the comedian. After I watched that I had a whole new respect for him as a person. Such a humble down to earth dude, and your absolutely right after everything that happened and being as close as he was to his dad he has handled everything extremely well. What I find most appealing is yes he shares the same last name as his dad, but he doesn’t try and ride his dads coat tails just for attention, he wants to prove his talent the hard way and I just respect the hell out of him for it. Losing Eddie was tough for sure , but listening to wolfs music every now and again I get some major VH vibes and he isn’t trying to do it I think for him it’s just in his blood like you said in the video and it never fails to give me chills haha. I know they don’t have a video but I would love to see a reaction to “Think it Over” ...very different from the other tracks and Wolf said that was his dads favorite from the record so there is a lot of sentimental value there and you definitely hear it !

      I had not seen that interview, so thank you for bringing it to my attention! I've kind of fallen behind on Bill's podcast since COVID because I'm no longer driving for work, but I love Burr so much. Ole Billy Red Balls.
      I really like "Think It Over." It's a contemplative, emotional song, and thematically, it's a lot closer to "Distance" than this one.
      I've kinda backed myself into a corner with the Friday Night Reactions because I've been trying to focus on songs that have interesting/fun/weird videos and not just cool songs. I may try to find a way to feature it on the Monday Matchups.
      What I find interesting about "Think It Over" is that to my ear, it's much more in line with bands like Jimmy Eat World or Weezer than straight forward rock and roll bands like "Don't Back Down." Wolf is so talented, and I love that he's obviously playing with genres and not afraid to do different things. I'm really excited to just sit down with the new album and listen to it all the way through and see what kind of vibe it has.

Haha I can see that, it’s definitely a lot more poppy than the others. What’s cool is even tho it’s relatable to those bands it’s still very unique to him. There’s a lot of versatility with these songs but they all sound like Wolfgang I think he has really established his own brand with these 4 singles. I’m like you tho I can’t wait for the record I love all these singles and excited to see what other elements he explores musically .

      And I know when my mom was sick and I was caring for her I stopped paying attention to my own health. Part of it was logistics. Mom needed care and there wasn't a lot of time to eat healthy or go to the gym and I was exhausted most of the time. But the other part of it was depression. My mom's been gone almost five years and I'm just now starting to feel "normal."
