I am one of the victims of Delhi's severe pollution. I contacted severe lung problems needing long treatment. I had to take leave of absence and flee to Kerala on doctor's orders. A few years later I was posted to Mumbai and the lung infection reappeared as Mumbai air too is heavily polluted. I had stayed in Vasant Vihar, near Palam Marg and the heavy, black dust used to rain down onto the lobby. I have been following for years the admirable efforts of activists like Dr. Narain and other colleagues in their efforts to solve the pollution problem in New Delhi. Keep on fighting for cleaner air.
Explanatory in English[which the actual video presented] also becomes an inclusive way to cover to spread the awareness for "Major South Indian" audience viewing the video Madam/sir. 😊💐‼️🙏🏽
Ma'am the fact you explain and the way you show the real problem and the way you express is just phenomenal... Learning a lot of things from you...you always deal with the real problem and real facts... Thank you.. 😄
Thanks for the explanation with the factual sets of data and information. I am pursuing one year master's program in Environment and resource management. During our discussion in the class, we generally discuss about the Global south and Global north pollution related problems. As you talked about the industrial pollution, so it means, few of the industries must be producing the good/service for the exports. In that way, we can put the carbon tax on those industries due to their ecological footprint. Due to the fact, that most of the exported goods will not be consumed in Delhi and surrounding regions.
one solution to this is -2 car policy all families in delhi should be allowed to only 2 cars and above 2 cars will be taxed highly. other one is Vermicomposting. wet waste should be collected separately.
Electric Metro trains are huge time and capital needing ; however ELECTRIC BUSES FOR transport Can help and may not be AS CAPITAL / Time requiring!!! ELECTRIC BUS TRANSPORTS and ODD /Even ELECTRIC VEHICLES from Diwali to Holi should be a MUST as this problem is extreme during Winter !!
Thank you mam for such crediable effort to make us understandtood in so easy way that farmer are not a big contributer in delhi pollution rather its delhi itself is responsible for its status ,
I don't understand how Delhi benefited from moving to CNG - we only shifted the problem to a less visible and more dangerous fossil fuel. When CNG combusts, the particles are a lot smaller than 1 micron - these get into our blood stream faster creating terrible health effects. We don't even have any monitoring infrastructure for nanoparticles that are smaller than 1 micron - all unmonitored and under the radar now. This is all very scary and certainly not a win for the residents who are breathing in Delhi NCR.
What about 300 units of free electricity. For producing one unit of electricity. Thermal power plant gives out 0.42 kg of carbon dioxide and other pollutants. Point is anything produced from dirty fuel should not be given free.
Read environmental related books Prakruthi shukthloo Nature Principles book and Dr Msr sir books please Avoid plastic disposal things please Save food save water save power save fuel save paper save trees save ozone save nature save life save Earth Stop viruses Stop Global Warming stop pollution
In India laws can be passed but hardly anybody follows because the leaders themselves dont follow, anyways I think south india is the best all those suffering from any respiratory issues can permanently move to south
I purchased electric cycle instead of petrol scooter in delhi but all the roads are conquered by high speed 2 and 4 wheelers, autos, small pick ups, buses and lot more.

thank you Haridas and so sorry to hear about your lung problem; this is why we must win this fight
Thank God, someone out there with facts not blaming Diwali and Farmers outrightly and hiding others to suit their politics.
Thanks for your observations...the air pollution issue is very complex...and blaming one thing or each other is not a solution.
