I have SKRE, Kuiu, First Lite and Black Ovis merino wool items. In my opinion, the Kuiu Nuyarn blend shirts itch way less and stretch better than most merino wool that I’ve tried. Personally though, after wearing merino and synthetics, I think I prefer more. What can say about SKRE is, I had a couple of issues and they took care of it ASAP. One shirt came in the wrong size and color of what I had ordered and the other issue was a bad zipper on another shirt. When I called the company, I spoke to a guy about my issues and told him what I liked and didn’t like about some of my SKRE items. It just so happened that the guy I talked to was the owner. He was a cool guy. He took care of my issues, BS’d about hunting, and even sent me out another piece of gear to try out!! To me, the modern camo systems are pricey. So, I buy mostly when things are on sale. A lot of my camo is from Kuiu, but I have a mix of all different brands, as I’m not brand loyal, but a bargain shopper. Over the last decade I’ve had to call many of these companies to ask questions before a purchase, to make size adjustments, warranty issues, and / or for returns. Out of all of them, I think SKRE has had the best CS and warranty. They just need more exposure, so they can expand their brand and line up.
Some great looking apparel, it looks like they have all the layers covered. I really like the warranty that SKRE offers and I imagine the customer service is top notch. What really stood out is the stretch ability and how quiet the material is. As an archery hunter those two things are BIG when looking for your hunting garments. Thank you for taking the time to show an in depth review on SKRE outdoor apparel. Keep SHARING your PASSION!
You have a lot of clothes! I didn’t see the nebo rain gear or the guardian late season bibs and jacket, but otherwise you have the entire line up. I’m still building mine but have all the core pieces and LOVE them. I was immediately impressed when I unboxed my first order (hardscrabble jacket) and though, hell ya, I’ll be buying more from SKRE. Merino is top shelf gear too. I think you should consider sizing up on your hardscrabble jacket if you want to wear the ptarmigan under it. I once compressed mine with too many under layers and a 400 wool power sweater… that ruins its insulating ability, and I got cold in 20 degrees. Counterintuitive, but I’m warmer with less on because my puffy retains its loft. Great review, very thorough. Good luck this fall.
I hadn't heard of SKRE before but I'm going to check them out. Having all that flexibility built into the pieces would be great for everything especially climbing trees.
Awesome gear you’re showing. So many great patterns and colors anymore it’s hard to choose which. And you do a great job here. One thing I would tell hunters, ESPECIALLY NEW HUNTERS, is to compare the textures of cloth and how much noise the material makes as you move. I’ve seen deer hear a shirt rustle while in the guy was in a box blind at 101 yards from the deer. He raised his arms to lift his rifle and before he even moved a foot they looked right at the blind. Of course the window was open. So, be very careful selecting whatever because “ looking great ?” in the woods isn’t important at all. Consider the softest cloth, something like fleece texture is one of the best options.
I love my Marino wool socks; however, I have a hack that works like a charm for keeping my feet dry and warm. I Buy an extra scent-free, fragrance-free stick of deodorant/antiperspirant and lightly rub it on the soles of my feet. Good luck this season Katelyn!
I call that "swishy", bad noise for bowhunting. Also, compressing that puffy layer too much really decreases it's effectiveness in insulating you. Skre was high up in the running when I bought some new clothes recently. I didn't realize they had such a good warranty though, or I may have made some different choices. I ended up with a mix of companies. Sitka for cold weather (fanatic and incinerator stuff is worth the extra cost). Ended up with some True Timber and Cabelas. I also use a ton of Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, Wrangler, old USMC stuff, etc. I won't be doing any try-on videos though; I don't fill out my camo like you do!!! I look like a bullfrog figured out how to stand up and put on pants. lol
Looks really good, you have more camo then I do, seem to be picking up whatever's on sale, but I like a gilly type outfit for turkey hunting, do they offer that? ❤❤
Hey Katelyn, you went really in depth with this review, great job! Me and my team really enjoy your hunting gear review videos and wanted to see if we can get into talks with having you review some of our broadhead products? Do you have a good business email so I can send more information? I rather not do everything over a RUclips comment lol.

The stretch is my favorite part!

Great Information. I will fill me up a cart!!
I’ve got the complete Sitka line-up and almost all of the Skre line-up. Skre is just as good as Sitka at half the price.
glad to hear you say that! I hope both as well and you can't beat the price point of skre!
Nice good looking stuff you can't beat that warranty
