    This line passes right by the Home Alone house

      Winnetka, as I recall.

      It passes about a block from the Home Alone house on Lincoln Ave. The Winnetka Metra Station is only a few blocks away.

      It's standard procedure that all trains in Canada, Mexico, Australia (not required), & North/South America use them when approaching stations, crossings, going through tunnels or passing other trains, etc.

      ​@@Rails-Of-IllinoisNope, not a thing in Australia. Some locomotives have bells but only units purchased second hand from America. No new locomotives or multiple units have bells. I would know as I've lived here for my entire life.

    Why can we always hear the pneumatics for the bell but not the horn.

      The north line is mostly quiet zones... He does use the horn in North Chicago at MLK drive (26:14)
