Good Morning! Steamboat Springs was originally a summer resort before it became known as Ski Town, USA and renowned for its world class skiing and famed Champagne Powder. Travelers in the early 1900s visited Steamboat Springs in the summer months for the natural hot springs and vast hunting and fishing opportunities. 😊

Great town great skiing, and I own a chair from the old Christy III triple chair lift. Retired last spring 2022. Made it into a porch swing.

While it may seem surprising, there is no actual steamboat in Steamboat Springs. The town instead received its name from the "chug chug" sound that the hot springs made. 😜
