Wow as I watch this for the first time, I'm actually sitting in a house about five houses up from Fairfeild station itself . I can attest to the accuracy of this layout even the painted back board. Well done!
Great to see a layout, with pantos actually working. So many even big layouts dont have pantos up, which harms the experience in my opinion. Mijn are live also, not many do thay anymore. Thanks, Robert
Very realistic, I noticed the dual gauge track in the front, so it explains the XPT and standard gauge freight trains and the QR narrow gauge operating the same track. .
Bueatiful Layout, just bueatiful and the angle is magnifisant, it's so realistic! Where did you get the overhead wiring? PS>I love the angle in which it was shot from
@cityraildude I don't own the layout. There's details in the movie description about the owners, you can track them down via their websites for further info.
Does anyone make iron ore cars like the ones rio uses in Pilbara? Those are great trains I think. I'd like to make a layout with one of those trains (although it would take hundreds of cars!). Thanks
The backdrop painting is beautiful.
having real sound totally brings this to life. scenery is great as well

You understand the importance of sound!
There's quite a few similar themed Sydney and Melbourne layouts, I've filmed a few just haven't had time to edit them.
Mate this is brilliant, absolutely love it, now I'm also looking to find a "sydney" equivalent not sure if it exists actually
That 2800 was fine, I want one 😂
Also, you can buy XPTs from ebay made by lima which sell ready to run models
Bueatiful Layout, just bueatiful and the angle is magnifisant, it's so realistic!

@cityraildude - Auscision Models is about to bring out a scale-correct XPT next year. The downside is it will cost over $800.
I wish more layouts were using centenary. :(

You'd be after the "Bachmann Outback Hauler HO Model Train Set " which includes loco & ore wagons. Athearn and BLI have also made the locos.
@@PoathTV Thanks! A little more than I afford right now, but I've got it saved. Several hundred cars would be $$$$
