As a kid in the 80's I remember seeing half of these rides in ruins. Amazing to see how much nicer it was a decade before I was born. It also reminds me of the long gone Rockaway Beach Playland.

    OH WOW.
Spooka-rama's original 10 minute Ride track can be seen. The outdoor Track that leads into three indoor buildings. This ride used to be 10 minutes of spooks. Modern day Spookarama is about 45 seconds... : (
I never saw spookarama's tracks in a aerial view like this before. I remember someone posting the track-layout in the old 2004 ConeyIsland Forum but i long lost that image.
I see the empty lot where the Gyroglobe used to be,, which is next to the Himalaya (Top middle ride @1:26).
I want to see a video of that ride in full action from start to finish, it was only around for a few years (Gyro Globe)
I've heard that the Himalaya ride was made from scrap metal in someone's backyard, lasted many years. Other Thing i heard was it was later turned into "The Polar Express" which was that one ride next to the GhostHole. They always played great music on ThePolarExpress. Not sure if the story of ThePolarExpress being the original Himalaya is true though.
I'm so glad to see the exact spot where the Neptune Diving Bells is located. I've only seen photos but i never knew its exact spot. Ah man this is like time traveling.
If only there was another AstroTower near the Tornado so i can see what it looked like there from aerial view.
So that Astroland Skyride, it seems that the loading/departure dock was on top of the o'l Astroland Shooting Gallery. I had no idea there was a second floor to that building. This is blowing my mind. So exciting.

@@brandontylerproductions2202 I agree and I was actually there back then as every Sunday my family went to the beach. Back in the 1970s-80s, while the beach area was ok, you took your life in your hands when you left the beach/boardwalk area. You had junkies hanging out on the side streets by the rotting bungalows. Today those same locations have restaurants, an attractions, the amphitheater and the ballpark. Yes it may be a bit corporate, but it's a far better place today than it was back then.

In those days, most guys never left the house without dressing up...By the 1970s, as you see in this video, men started to dress more casual by then but with still many men simi-dressed up...Getting dressed up to leave the house was the style all the way up until about the mid or late 60s.. The majority of men you see here dressed in slacks are men from the Silent Generation....That generation grew up dressing up all the time, even just to make a trip to the supermarket....Thats how it was in those days...But as i said before, men started dressing more casual by the late 60s and early 70s...After that casual dressing was the new thing for men...I was a very young boy in the 60s and both my grandfathers and my father usually dressed up in a nice shirt and slacks no matter where they went
