I tried these when they first came out and ended up opting for a Victoria. Then got an Epiphone Anaconda. Then regretted not getting the Gibbo version. Which has now been rectified as I managed to get one the other week 😁
I bought Victoria Goldtop model of Slash Les Paul and Love it, on some of earliest models Burstbucker II's are labelled as Slashbuckers, so those with 2020 or earlier Slash might want to peeek at your pickups, imagine the handful of Slashbuckers might carry a Premium

I am ABOUT to get it ,maybe tomorrow , found a great deal near NYC , brand new 2400 USD + taxes , I believe is a sweet deal . I was going for the ESP kirk spider but wtf I cannot wait more to get a real gibson. Oh... and yes Im with you on de cover of the pickups.

Ah nice! I’ve been eyeing off the Amber as well. It is chunky, it’s a 50s style neck. Personally though I like it. Regardless, you won’t be disappointed. They’re great guitars.

The ones in mine are ‘Slash Custom Burstbucker Alnico II Dbl black’ Seymour Duncan’s. Yours should be the same, just the different colour. I think they’re great! They’re definitely different to my Alpine White Custom which has 490-498 matched Humbuckers (which I love) but these Slash ones I really like as well.
Credit where credit is due. If this sounds decent on my phone with damaged speakers than I’m going to finally say this is the first decent Gibson I’ve heard in years ever since they had fell into the pits. What year?
It is a nice guitar. The pickups in this one definitely help. I got this 12 months ago brand new. It’s the from the latest instalment of Slash Guitars, so it’s either 2020 or 2021.
It is a 50s style neck, so it’s thick. I found it didn’t take too long to adjust. But it’s an investment, so it’d be crap if you don’t like the feel. Dunno man. Any chance you can try out a similar feel on a different guitar..?

I haven’t the played the Epiphone of this particular guitar, but every Epiphine I’ve played has always been disappointing. Gibsons are definitely better quality in my experience.
Oh dude, that’s a hard one. They’re similar, both play and feel great, but also different. Slash one has different hardware and higher output pickups. Custom has the scratch plate which is an adjustment for me. Overall, they’re both fabulous, however I do tend to favor the Custom. I love playing them both, and jumping from one to the other in regards to feel is pretty well on par.

LP’s already have a big mid range crunch, but these Slash models sound huge. Love the color, and the sound. Just ordered the same guitar.
The Slash pickups definitely make a difference tonally.

It is a great guitar! I never listened to much Guns N Roses, only select songs, but I do like a lot of his new stuff with Myles Kennedy.

The fretboard on yours looks really nice and dark. Was it like that out of the box, or did you condition it?

Depends how you use it. In my case it’s for added sustain, and to tighten it up.
I especially like an overdrive on the 2nd (crunch) channel.

Could have eliminated the overdrive pedal. This isn’t a realistic demo of the guitar by itself.
That’s how I play. I like gain, & Slash likes gain.
There’s a clean demo at 8:40 if you think that represents it more.
