Once you get passed 10, you should ONLY upgrade expertise with kill exp… it is glitched right now and if you donate materials, guns you will not hit level 20, I know a couple people that are proficient in all categories, and he is only level 25… just a heads up

I have been doing this for a few weeks. I donate almost everything. It is easy (but a time chore) to become proficient. I have proficiencies for items I have never used.
Love the vids, but I would guess like myself as a casual player we don't have vast war chest of credits to draw on. I play the game the way that suits me and if I run across some of these items while playing the game, so be it. I didn't do that in The Division 1 or 2, so it's not something I will do in this update. I play to enjoy the game and get what I get and am totally happy doing so. Thanks for the video, very informative but I have a question, I've seen videos mentioning about a bug on the Expertise system where the max Expertise level is lower when donating compared to farming XP, is it true and has it been fixed? I have stopped donating items and just focus on farming Resource Convoy XP.
NothinButSkillz, I have a Kingbreaker & proficient I'm already a level 3 and it doesnt want to go past level 3. Upgrade is greyed out & it says "insufficient Expertise level" Is there any way to get above level 3 expertise on a weapon?

from what I've seen this method is bugged. While doing this is fast, it may cap your levels. Some RUclipsrs have reported being at level 20 while having 344 items maxed out. While others are only 200 and being at level 23 to 27.

@@SevenDaysToNoon from what I’ve noticed, the Summit and Countdown are the same targeted loot. When you change one, the other changes to that same loot.
Used vendors for named items that are in builds I use, the rest of the stuff will come over time and as with the watch I don't see the need to rush through it all. And the instability on PC hasn't exactly boost the desire to play.
Go to the resource tab in your inventory. If you go over the materials it wil tel you which faction drops wich materials.example black tusk drop carbon fiber etc... Also on the map if you look at cp it shows what materials you wil get.

If you're playing PVP and you're effectively being penalised because you're playing by the rules it's going to put everyone off.

Good concept bro but, you were donating the Mozambique up to level 6 and kept donating more with no level up. Donating (the weapons or gear) is kind of broken right now.
@@MikeBuckley Yeah, I feel ya. Latest videos I’ve watched have suggested to stop donating weapons/gear to expertise. Deconstruct and use materials to advance pieces. Concentrate on weapons first because the gain on damage over base is way more important. Gaining armor gives minimal dividend as the NPC’s are hitting much harder in TU15.
If you donate to level your expertise, you will cap out at a lower level than if you use kill xp to level. This is an issue that is currently being looked into.

I'd only buy named items to expertise that I'd actually use. Seems like a waste to level anything up you don't use or care about. I realize I'm stating the obvious. Be sweet if you can level named pieces up by mismatching them to any names items if that makes sense.

When people in the community are looking for good advice from youtubers who have played more than them and tend to know more than they do, there's an amount of trust there. That trust brings with it a responsibility. If someone says, "do this farm, it's so worth it!" and I do it and get banned for using an exploit, that destroys that trust. Similarly here, if I have one hour to spend in Div2 every day and I'm spending it farming resources, spending all my credits/time at vendors, I'm going to get bored and burned out and be wasting my time. After all that effort and time, I finally go to upgrade some of my proficient items to the next expertise grade. BOOM, I realize I have no materials left. Don't defend bad advice. People can do whatever they want, but that doesn't mean they are completely informed. Compare that to how many have actually dug into how much it will cost to actually increase your expertise grade. It's night and day. Don't defend bad advice. I would suggest EVERYONE do this. All this does is (effectively) unlock item upgrades. Proficency does sod all really. Upgrade provides armor % for gear and damage %for weapons, and this is the real grind: using up fibre, polys, titanium, etc to enhance each item.
Each gear buy 6 max each main weapons buy 2 each pistol buy 1 and go to new york to do tombs....so you don't risk being under expertise level.....stop donating please.
they are going to fix the donation so they will fix the max cap and they will pull people back who are not supposed to be maxxed cap but are to the level they should be. Its being worked on

I believe you have a chance to get weapon mods from levels 3 and 4 control points. Level 4 equals heroic.
