It’s not a liberty vs safety statement and it does not contradict your comment that in order ‘to be safe you need to be free’, in fact it supports that notion. Isn't it amazing how many of us oldies (omg are we *old* now?!?? no way! the world has moved and changed but in my mind my time has stood still since my 30s, I have aged and gained wisdom but not gotten older) but how many of us have been drawn to this amazing man and artist and visionary.

His girlfriend has a lot to do with it. I don't think most people know that his girlfriend was sorta fucked over by the music industry and didn't want that to happen to him as well so that's why he has stayed independent. She also does quite of bit of the chorus work, both writing and performing when it's not just him rapping alone.
