Im a bigger guy too so im glad i found your channel it really pushes me even though i know i will never be as good as when i was in highschool. I ride 8.25
U a boss. I'm size 8.25 . I needa new board . I got an old death wish board that snapped cuz I'm 300lbs. But like you, I love to skate . Hmu if your in Dallas my boy
Preferably a size 8.25, been following you and your journey a long while and i have to say you're definitely one of my favorite skaters. I have a board already but i collect boards and put em on my wall. if anything i would love a board youve already skated and signed (even if its broken) to put it up on my wall of boards. Goodluck to everyone in the comments, Much love from Houston brother!🤟
I got into the routine of riding around the park as soon as I get there, to scope it out, make sure there is no glass, no screws, pinecones. Do some drop ins, roll ins, get the blood going, then go into the ollies and grinds. Wrap that knee up my dude, use a compression sleeve atleast. You got this dude! Thank you so much for this content.
Hi Joey, I'm a big guy like you, and you've really inspired me to start skating. It would mean the world to me if I could get one of your boards. I ride a size 8.5. Also good job with all the videos I would love to see u ride a Powell flight deck. Thanks for being such a great inspiration.
Joey, you out here inspiring people and you really need to feel that. I've always been a big dude. I'm 6ft even and am around 330. I used to skate as a teenager and always assumed I was too big for it once I got older and heavier. I just bought a new setup and have been having a blast rolling around and trying to relearn rolling ollies, kickflips, shove-its, etc with my 11 year old son. I definitely feel the weight in my ankles but I know skating more will help me lose some fat. Even when I lifted all the time, I was still 300 so I figured I'd just snap boards left and right. I bought a $95 Globe complete that's an 8.5, and I have my eye on an 8.75 once it's time to build one. I'm glad to hear that size is holding up! For the giveaway, I'd love to get an 8.75 so I can give this 8.5 to my son. Dude's been FIENDING to skate after school ever since we bought it, and it would be sick to roll along side instead of taking turns xD. I wouldn't have gotten back into it if it weren't for your videos showing a bigger dude out there just grinding and doing it. I appreciate you big dawg!
Love the vids Joey! You get me pumped to go skate. Like you, I’m a board breaker whenever I do lip slides so an 8.25 would be very appreciated. Keep it up!
Love your videos man they’re very inspiring. I’ve just barely started my skateboard journey. I ride a 8.75 board. Wife is pregnant after a few complications her doctor has put her on bedrest. So I’ve got a pretty full plate taking care of our other two kids, house work, laundry, all the cooking. Going out skating at night after everyone is a sleep has been the best outlet in relieving the stresses of the day.
I’m a bigger guy and your videos have given me so much hope and confidence in skating. I’m just starting out and can use a nice board as the one I have is a very cheap board and doesn’t hold my weight well. I’d love to try out an 8.75 just like you. Keep up the amazing content man !!
Another inspired fan just got back into skating at 35 yrs old after not skating since I was 17 I grew real big really fast in high school and made the switch to playing football cause I thought I was too big @280 now thanks to RUclips I see more and more people popping up like your self and I was like you know what I miss this so I went out and popped on a brand new set up . I’d love a back up deck cause I know it won’t last forever. I ride an 8.75 as we’ll cheers 🍻 much love from a Canadian fan 🇨🇦
I would like a board for my brother he's also a big dude, so a board exactly like yours would be ideal, I really hope I get picked so my bro gets better and doesn't quit
You inspire me to want to skate, I haven't yet, but I've been wanting to for months now. I'm 17 and just healed from a broken ankle which was pretty bad. My skate size would be a 8.5, I'm really excited to just get out there and start doing what I want to do that makes me happy. I see how happy it makes others and how it brings people together and that's great.
You’re awesome dude you’ve got what it takes me and my son like to go to the park and skate around on the weekends reminds me of when I was younger getting into skateboarding 8.25 is my size I love the content brother keep it up
Yooo bro bro! Big inspiration I’ve just started my skate journey but as a bigger dude I always saw your reels and you helped me finally make the call and start learning ❤
Watching you makes me confident that I can do it too! I skated penny board knockoff as a kid and stopped during high scool. Now I'm 40 200lbs with wife and kids and decided to try again before it's too late. Bought some crappy cruiser board to test myself. It's awsome for cruising with my kids on bikes but now I want something more. Started doing cavemans, attempting first ollies but my board is just too short for that. 8.25 popsicle would make me actually go to a skatepark for the first time!
I'm a 36yr old dad, I'm back skating after 18yrs or so. Except I had to build 2 of my kids a skateboard before mine. And now after deaths in the family and other difficulties I got their together. But after everything lately, i couldnt afford my skateboard. I literally picked out of the trash so I could ride and teach them. I don't know what my size should be, probably something between 8.0, 8.1, or 8.2 All I can say is that my 8.3 with a busted off tail seems like it's 1/4" too wide. My known preferences from 20yrs ago was a 8inch with a deeper concave, and a short wheelbase. My dream was always a double nose. I loved the height of the angle, the fingers of flat, and the width over a tail. I always rode my boards backwards because of that. But I already know with our luck. Or my luck. I'm not winning anything, so I'm just grateful for my literal p.o.s. as long as it holds together. At least I got a chance to try, that was worth something.
You’re a real inspiration to me Joey ‘ I used to skate back in the days I remember watching your brother in the ice cream video. But lately I’ve gotten the bug to skate again because of you I’m older put on some weight but I’m ready to get back on it at least get my Ollie’s back. I brought a old element board from the swamp meet here in Kansas City the board is pretty haggard but if I’m chosen to win one I would love a 9 X 32 deck then I can go to escapist and get trucks and everything else setup a new one and give my element to a kid at the skatepark. Keep up the good work and always keep your positive attitude!
Take care of your knee, it sucks to not skate but you for sure don’t want a full tear. If you’re not feeling it take a day off it’s deserved. I Look forward to more skate vids and learning.
Hey, I love your videos. I ride an 8.5 and I am on old man that helps my son (8.25 deck) and younger kids in our area fall in love with skating. I recently got the state of MS to donate helmets for our non-profit and DIY. Keep up the good work.
u a boss man, fr, we all feel you, WE TIRED OF FALLING ALL DAY HAHAHAH, but its life, that happens, what i love the most of skating is the next try, they always on my mind, just 1 more try after another
I used to skate consistently but stopped around covid time. That kinda killed my motivation. Started eating more, gaining weight badly feeling not me. So recently, I moved from California to Missouri and have just been traveling around to different skateparks to get back into the groove like I used to. So I really think getting a board would be awesome, but honestly, just you as a youtuber gives me the greatest inspiration to keep going. Thanks for doing this 🤙🏼I ride an 8.25 if I get picked, lol. Anyways, keep up with videos, and I'll keep watching and liking 👍🏻
Big guy here. Love your videos as they keep motivating me. Need the board ad mental support for my return after recovery from my open arm fracture that happened while skating. I ride 8.25“ ✌️
I'm just getting back into longboarding, I'm a pretty big guy and was so worried it would break or I'd get really injured if I fell. Watching your videos give me more confidence. I dont see many fat longboarders on RUclips and it might be easier on your injuries. It would be nice to get some longboarding tips from a big skateboarder. What advice would you give to other big guys getting into skating? It's been many years since I got on a skateboard, 8.25 is what i'd probably pick up. A cruiser is what I'm really in the market for
I'm a 8.25, just getting into skating. Always thought I was too big(300+ pounds), but you gave me hope that I can do it too. Although I live in germany, so it'd probably be hard to get the board here.
oh my god lol. my bones hurt from that one and i didnt even fall, uggh. i have like 7 decks that are still skateable. i dont need one. good luck to those who need one.
Yooo just saw the part of the video about the giveaway. I appreciate all the content and all the cool clips in your videos. I just started skating this year and I ride a 8.75 and if it could be signed by you that would make it that much more special. I would love a new board because I am on my second board already after skating this year and I feel as though my board now is going to give out in another couple of months. If I don't win I hope anyone who does win can enjoy the board and have a lot of fun with it!! Thank you for the amazing video and again I appreciate what you do!!
I ride a 9 inch board. you should pick me cause your videos' have motivated me to get back on the board its been three long years of chaos not skating. i've been thru hell this year between trying to get sober losing my dad and my favorite cousin pretty much back to back.. skating is the only thing that gets me outta my head.
hi bro, im from philippines, and im 30 years old now, im 5,8" and 92KG. i hope u will choose me as one to be given a board. because i really want to get back to skateboarding, as part of excersice, but im struggling to get a budget to buy a board. hope u will help me man, u inspired me a lot to get back to skateboarding. i was skating when im 19 years old, but quit becuase i cant afford to buy a board anymore, because here in the philippines the minimum wage is only 400 pesos a day which is like 6 dollars a day and i have 2 kids to provide, still not enough. hope u can give me a board. ❤🙏
I don't need a board but I know of a couple kids that there parents can't kick money down for them to get boards. I'm sure they would skate anything that was free
I've been doing that lately I've skated maybe 3 or 4 times in the last couple of months I broke my ankle so I'll never be as good as I used to be most likely but if I get out and cruise I consider that a win, also go with your instincts man if you don't feel like skating then don't that's when you fall usually is when your head isn't fully in it lol.
thanks for the giveaway!! i honestly would like to get a new board for my friend because he hasn't changed his in like over a year and it can barely be considered a popsicle deck now..he rides an 8.25. i would love to surprise him haha
Well done on nearly getting 20k IV followed since you broke 2 different brand boards a vx and a pop secret and when you was doing 50 50 grinds and nose slide on that curb and you cut your leg 8.25 never had that one IV had 7.75 and 8.0s nothing else if I win donate to someone else in need of a board as I have 3 boards currently
Holy crap u big guys ride a 8 and a 1/4. Bro i ride a 9 and 1/8 its a big board. Good for transition not good for flat ground. Anyway i lost track. I am saying iam impressed i feel like i need to learn to ride a 8.5 just loosen my trucks. 👍
I’m just a kid so I probs cant win the give away but I have just started skating and my board is a cheap 8.25 deck that has a few cracks that are getting bigger and are kinda scaring me
Im a bigger guy too so im glad i found your channel it really pushes me even though i know i will never be as good as when i was in highschool. I ride 8.25

Make sure they’re dynamic stretches. Regular static stretches can make it more likely to get injured.
I would like a board for my brother he's also a big dude, so a board exactly like yours would be ideal, I really hope I get picked so my bro gets better and doesn't quit
