She just did a wonderful performance on COLORS would love to see your reaction to it :)!
Monica Martin is another vocalist extremely worth checking out for those who haven't. She's a great example of someone who's absolutely capable of belting but generally stays at a more controlled fluttering nasaly place. Her vocals in the band Phox are some of my all time fav, plenty of fantastic live performances all over youtube as well, including an awesome funky cover of Sex and Candy with Scary Pockets.

    Thanks for this, Sam!
I really love Lianne, she gets me every time. Love this song, love this version, and I love that someone is paying attention and singing her praises, because she has a very unique style of conveying emotion and playing with her voice. As you said, is not all about the big moments, and Lianne is amazing on the little vocal details.

Totally agree with your comments. I think a lot of times people get side-tracked by people's vocal performances for other reasons than the actual voice. Lianne's tone is just exquisite, (rich, smooth and warm, like Marshmallows on velvet) her vibrato is perfection, and you know that there's real power there, but she doesn't just belt for the sake of showing it. Her vocal arrangement is also great - she keeps it flowing, and then lets go at just the right moment to make the run stand out like shining diamond.

I find her vibrato to be sometimes very annoying, because lots of time its too wide for my taste and kind of slow relatively to the rhythm of her singing, like in Paper Thin when she sings "I need you sooooo", it reminds me of Hugh Jackman's vibrato

No problem, our brains are all wired differently, so we all have different aspects of any Art that can push our buttons, and make us really appreciate it.
Still, here's a thought......rather than just commenting about what you don't like, on RUclips videos, how about commenting on what you DO like, (or going to a different you tube video to do that, if you have nothing positive to comment on). You'd be surprised how much, starting to view the world though a half full glass, rather than a half empty one can, improve your days, one step at a time (and other peoples days, who don't have to see your negative comments!!!!)

@never_pharma1412 I think you might have misunderstood me, Lianne La Havas is one of my favourite artists, definitely my favourite neo soul artist, it's this one thing that bugs me every time I hear it, and I tried to find some reference to it and this video (and your comment) was the closest I got. Also, the comment section was made to allow debate, like you said, not everyone needs to agree with everyone, and when you post anything on the internet you need to prepare yourself for the fact that some people will maybe not share your opinion and will let you know about it. I will admit though you're not the first one to tell me about seeing the half full glass lol

I have to admit you're not the first person to say something like "the comment section was made to allow debate", but a debate is a discussion between people where they express different opinions about the validity or correctness, etc of something. On you tube, people can do this, but more often than not, their just commenting, as in this case, people are just expressing how they feel about something with no justification other than there own emotions. So, It's not like we're debating whether it's right or wrong for the energy companies to be putting up their prices, we're just expressing how someone's vocal attributes make us feel. If you had said something like "Yeah, I wasn't so keen on her repeating the lines in the bridge of the song" then that's a good point of debate because it's a conscious choice that she made, which could be done differently. Saying you don't like her vibrato, in response to someone saying they do is like saying "Yeah well I DON'T like the taste of pistachio ice cream", (only more negative because it's being applied to someone's lifelong skill that they've developed). There's nothing that can be done about that (she's not going to sing a song completely without vibrato, that's why the comment is a negative one, but she might have sung a version where the bridge was done differently) so why bother making the comment? You even said that Lianne was one of your favourite artists, so why would you want your only opinion on this RUclips post of one of her better songs to be a negative one?

@never_pharma1412 as I said, I absolutely adore Lianne's music, but this little detail just bugs me every time I listen to her songs (and its not like she can't do a normal vibrato, for example in songs like Can't Fight, so why would she do this weird slow vibrato?! But I digress) and I wanted to see whether anyone else had noticed it, and again your comment, speaking directly about her vibrato, was the closest I got. Look, I get what you mean, but I'm not here to debate you about this subject, let's just say we disagree and l leave it at that, okay? BTW pistachio ice cream rules

Please make a reaction to a young, very popular singer in Russia and aboard. Videos from this singer collect hundreds of millions of views. This girl is now only 16 years old. She has a very unique, very deep, clear voice.
Dr. Marc Reynolds (Voice Teacher, Stage Director, Performance Coach and Consultant, and Acting Coach www.music.txstate.edu/facultystaff/bios/reynolds.html ) said about the performance of this girl:
Really really exceptional! Even if you ignore her age, even is she was 10, 20, 30 years older, this is still a really exceptional performer here that we're seeing. But at her age, unbelievable. Really really exceptional! Absolutely gorgeous! And again, not just because of her voice, because her performing, watching how nuanced and engaging her performance is. Ah, it's just so stunning. It's absolutely amazing. mrperformingartsstudio.com/home/blog/
