Thank you for the tour of your sewing room. Seeing the fabrics in shelves like that has given me an idea to look at Ikea for a small shelf for my fabric. I don't have near as much fabric as you, but the colors of the fabrics are like decoration making the room look pretty, and colorful. I am also looking into a new sewing machine. I don't know, it could be mind over matter, but my Singer doesn't sound as smooth as some of the machines I have seen in many of the sewing tutorials I have watched. Oh, and you are definitely blessed, and inspiring. Please keep up the wonderful tutorials as they are inspiring. May God continue to bless you.
Thank you, this is the second time I have watched your video I probably will watch it again. Your quilting space looks so peaceful it is perfect and lovely.
I have the juki 2010 and absolutely love this machine. I purchased from Amazon a wenice sewing machine led lighting kit. So amazing. Can not believe the lighten it has added to my machine and how much it has improved my visual. The cost was just under 20 dollars and more than worth it.
That is my dream sewing room!!! It's absolutely gorgeous!! I just found your channel! I'm a quilter and a homeschool mom as well! So happy to have found you!
Best room setup I’ve seen. Simple enough to REALLY work! Love the way you keep the scraps too. Thank you for sharing. I’ve looked at pics for months & your ideas...I’ll use👍😁
I confess I'm a fabriholic, but I like the way you've stored pieces on the comic boards and the scraps by color. That's very handy. Everything is visible which is something else I like about it. Thanks for sharing. I love your fur and feather kids, too!
THANK YOU! This is perfect as I was trying to do a sewing room using IKEA last week & was totally lost going through their website. I love your videos you are a wonderful teacher. ❤️
LOVE IT: I just discovered your videos tonight. I am in the beginning of getting an old office redone into my sewing room. Everything is finished except the flooring. I can hardly wait. It won't be quite as special as yours but I have to work with what I have for the most part. Love your entire set-up except the birds (I have a bird phobia) but other than that I could move right in. I will only have one small window and it is too high to see out when sewing. Thanks for the special tour and all the neat ideas I've gained.
BOBBY PINS. I use bobby pins for securing my fabric to the comic boards. They don't rust. The will slide right down the fabric from the edge and hold it in place. You can use them top edge and bottom edge..or even bobby pin the fabric to the board if you fold the fabric the size of the board, and they are SUPER cheap, 300 for 4 dollars at the beauty supply.
Really like your sewing room. Still working on mine and changing thing around to give myself more space. I have so much fabric, I need not buy any more for the next two years. But hoping next month I will have most of the work done and I will be able to enjoy it more. Have fun sewing, later.
Such an amazing set up. I love it. Going to use your video as my inspiration when I buy a mobile home this next year. I will use my master bedroom as my sewing room as who needs tons of space to sleep in. Thank you for filmimg this!!!
considering doing a room tour for mom, she has five rooms. we use mixed fabrics. like wool area, flannel area, etc if i watch a tutorial, i just go to mom's and she has everything. my stuff has sat in my garage for almost nine years. (I think we have a fabric addiction). your tutorial offers great ideas. i love the magnetic pin bowls and the honest review of the larger cutting board. the comic board idea is the one I will put to use tomorrow. She either has bolts or she has totes. the comic boards offer a nice settlement. thanks for sharing
Thank you for this video, very helpful. btw, Elanor burn always said that the ironing board should be with strips or squares so you can press strait line and not distort it. love your studio.Love your pets! love your colors....may this year will be beautiful and prosperous on all your life segments.
Lovely! I too have a covered porch (10ft deep) facing east but over time I have had issue with fading, so now all my fabrics are behind cabinet doors. I like to row my yardage and stack like firewood. I use a piece of vinyl flooring as a table topper to protect it, easy and cheap to replace. Would love to see review on the Juki.
I'm envious of your scraps!! Lol. One day!! I know this is an older video but it popped up on my recommendations. I'm glad it did. This is totally my dream room!! Beautiful
Great set up. We like the same fabric lines. I love your mini quilts. That is exactly what I want to do in my sewing room. I found your tour so helpful I even took some notes, and I can't say that about many videos! New subscriber!
So sorry that you’ve had a lot of problems this month but hopefully everything will turn out fine I am so happy to have met you and I enjoy all your videos I can’t go very well I have macular degeneration and I’m almost 90 years old however aaa I’m trying again and I thank you for that and you and And K and now enjoy the holidays anyway however you can and no good bless you and your children and your mother and everybody Anna enjoy God bless
Si voce quiser eu pose tentar te ajudar. Mas ela estava explicando varias maneiras de guardar os panos dela, as collecoes de tecidos para quilting. Tambem falho que a mesa dela, esta branca em frente das janelas, e realmenente duas mesa que ela combino.
Beautiful sewing room! I do have a little bit of fear about potential sun damage to all of your wonderful fabric. It is amazing, even with good windows, what can happen! This is just a thought…. You could put a simple tension bar rod across the top of the open shelves and make a cute little curtain that extended down to where the closed section is. With a push pleat, maybe with a little header at the top for cuteness, it could be easily pushed to the side while you look for things. You could make it all one piece or separated into several sections, which would make looking for things in the center easier. Thanks for your videos!
Love your video!.. The birds are so cute, in your sewing room. I love hearing birds. I love your scrap organization and storage idea. I was wondering about a great way to store my scraps. I love how light and bright your sewing room is, with that nice window letting in lots of natural light. Bandit is so cute, and loves your sewing room, lol.
12:18 I ran into a similar problem with my first cutting mat. Last November I watched a video where the person was using a self healing mat. I realized that was the kind for me so I bought one. Now for the funny part of my story. I placed the mat out of the way since I wasn’t needing it right away. I am disabled but continue to try to work on crafts and sewing. Unfortunately my craft/sewing room has gotten all out of sorts. About two months ago I had some extra spending money and was going to buy one of those mats, forgetting I already had one. While straightening up the room one day I noticed something peeking out from behind a cabinet and pulled it out. You would’ve thought I struck gold as excited I got! There was the very same thing I’d been planning to go buy! With Christmas over it’s time for the complete overhaul on my room. I look forward to using my “new” self-healing mat as soon as my room is done. 😁
Your sewing room reminds my of my mother. She tried to teach me how to sew and crochet but.... yeah, not for me. I’m better with numbers and research stuff 😂 but I wish I could learn 😩😩😩
I loved the sewing room tour, got lots of ideas! I also love the bloopers 😂I’d love a tutorial of the fabric tool holder in front of your sewing machine 🌺
You must be a Virgo everything is so perfect. Cute pooch but he really wants those birds. My friend's Chiwawa use to do the same thing and he jumped and got the poor little bird...yep Charlie ate ChoCho. I'm working on my sewing/spare bedroom, thanks for sharing your great ideas.
FAB sewing room Erica. White white white - LOVE THAT! Organized, but easy to see & find. I can't think if cluttered. At same time need to see & get @ quickly or give up just as quickly. The way you store your scraps is so perfect. I see many use plastic gallon storage bags-inside clear plastic bins-inside cabinets! Good Grief, a rubic cube, not for me. Love your idea. Are those mesh racks office racks of some kind? I like the size of your sewing table. Mimi G has a great idea for that, cover the cutting table w/cotton batting & muslin so you can lay out, pin & iron! You have what looks like a dining rm. I only have 10x10. I still want to somehow squeeze a 6' cutting table b/c I make clothes & quilts. What do you do w/all your quilts? I make small ones now. I have given away so many. I try to keep 1 boy/girl for babies. I have so many others, just rolled up for 'deco'. Thanks for sharing I'm subbing.
I love your sewing room, I'm planning on re-doing mine now. I really like how you can see all of your fabric. My room is going to have to be more utilitarian I'm afraid, now retired way less $$ lol. I have a large table on which I can lay out my my quilts, I have it topped with blue insulating Styrofoam board, not pretty but very practical. The fabric slides and I can stick pins in to my hearts delight, just right for layering my quilts. Never a pucker. FYI for future videos try not to talk so fast... :-) I'm still trying to get my breath back.
Enjoyed your video and I appreciate you sharing your ideas. Although I have a wide variety of crafts and sewing supplies I feel you’ve shown some ideas I could use. I hope you have a Happy New Year.
Very pretty space - just love it. FYI, the entire video is only in the left speaker and drives me nuts with my noise cancelling headphones. Thanks for sharing!

What fun, enjoyed seeing your sewing room. Love the puppy. Happy quilting.
Very cute room full of wonderful materials. My sewing room has to double as a bedroom. But I do the best I can. Thanks for the inside view.

Hi! I don't get full sun on my fabric as we have a covered porch, so I haven't had any issues with fading yet :)
I'm so envious! This room is so nice!! Very inspiring!

9:35 For fabric or ribbon I use a piece of “press-n-seal” to hold them in place. (Or for ribbon-on the spool)
Enjoyed your video and I appreciate you sharing your ideas. Although I have a wide variety of crafts and sewing supplies I feel you’ve shown some ideas I could use.
I hope you have a Happy New Year.
Me encanta, es una autentica maravilla y una suerte tener un lugar para ttrabajar. Un abrazo desde Barcelona, Spain.

The dog thinks lunch is in the cage. !! Great sewing room.
Just beautiful!
Great video and awesome room. I would love a review of your Juki. Thank you.
great space, thanks for sharing!
The dog 😂 looking like lunch time
I'm just finding your page now while I was searching for ikea ideas for sewing tables, I knew they had to be out there! Your blog says they're not carrying the kallax shelves in 5x5 but I went on the website and they must have gotten them back in stock, because they're available again. I just wanted to let anyone else know who may want them
Oh good, maybe they had a lot of requests for them. I love mine!
You have such a beautiful sewing room :)
Nice room. I use flat rate shipping boxes to store my fabric the same. I can get about 6 boards out of one box.
Love your storage room.
WOW BEAUTIFUL
Erica what kind of hobbies do you do? Your sewing room is like walking into Joann’s fabric place lol love it! I wish I can have a room like yours. PS love your dog he is so cute
Thank you for sharing your beautiful sewing room ! I got some great ideas for setting mine up. And I think I just found my new favorite channel!!! ❤️❤️❤️
BTW I had been wanting to make my cutting table shorter and non-collapsible (to be able to use it as a sewing table) and I think what you did with your table might work with mine!
I hear good things about your Juki. Do you free motion quilting with it? I just bought an industrial Juki sewing machine, the DDL 8700-7, which comes built into the table and the silent motor is just below the table. It's awesome. Like yours it only does straight stitches but they're amazing. There are literally hundreds of industrial presser feet that can work with this machine, and you can even sew leather with it, and make a purse! It can sew as high as 5500 stitches per minute, which is overkill but so great when doing long seams. It does have some neat features like automatically doing backtracking sewing at the beginning and ending when you sew a line (you can turn it off) and cutting the thread, and needle up/down. It is all metal, super solid and easy to oil cause you just lean it back and pour the oil into the base below the machine up to the marked line. I still am learning it, and just weeks after I got it I was given 5 additional machines (a Bernina, a Pfaff, a Janome, and two Husquevarna Vikings; I already own a Bernina and a Pfaff) from my Mom who can't quilt anymore due to health issues. So I'll be learning all these for quite awhile. I think I need a school room to house all these machines.
Hi! YES!! I love my Juki and I've FMQ with both my G-120 and my TL 2000 both are great!
Can you do a video on your new machine? That would be great.
Lol the dog was like move em mom

My mom sews and I am learning. I am making my first doll.
very helpful ideas. Thanks for sharing.
great sewing room
I would like to hear a more complete review of your new Juki. I love your studio space and design. Wish I had as much space as you
Dr Michael Elinski ''
Great room! Thanks!
thanks for sharing.. I love how you describe in detail all of your thought processes of your room. thanks for showing the boards you use for storing fabric!! I would love it if you did more free motion quilting tutorials. I am getting ready to do my first quilting. my first quilt I had done! I'm ready now I think! also, where do you get fabric from and.. do you buy bolts? I never realized how expensive fabric can be!! thanks again.. I loved your quilt series!!!
