It’s really good to see the promoters trying their outmost best to revive the clash industry, nevertheless the future looks dimmed. Selectors and fans are ageing and there is nothing in place to recapture the golden days. The younger generation is all into social media etc...therefore I give it another 3-5 years to come to an end. I will always cherish the real memories of true clashes, Bodyguard, Jaro, Silverhawk, Electroforce, Jammys etc....

LP’s path to victory were to play or beat out as much tune/anthems from Bass Odyssey’s box as possible in the early rounds then hope and pray that the audience would be with them. Bass Odyssey knows how to play for people. They have a better MC and They know how to adjust their selections as the dance changes throughout the night. LP cannot do that and it showed. LP comes across as a 1 TRICK PONY. Reggae music is very broad. It doesn’t matter how much money you spend or how much songs you have or how deep you feel your dub box is. If you don’t have talent and an understanding of how dance hall run you will lose. NY have dozens of sounds with hundreds of dubplates all of them sounds can’t make 1.
U would have had to be in that clash to understand... the people never wanted tft... lp didn't deserve it... that is the only reason why bass odyssey got away with them songs in tft

Sound Clash one O one learn and know how to play for people. Have an identity stop playing like the other sound in the early rounds then when it is time for you to showcase your sound the dance is already lost. It’s not what you play is how you play it. If your a big sound with endless selection. You should select the right set of songs according to your audience. Some selector need to have some moo-joes, Learn how to control the dance with style, pattern. Stop beg dance when your losing.
I wanted to go to this so bad I’m glad I missed it cause a waste of time ting. Damian should shame he’s not representing odyssey properly; he played all the same tunes we’ve heard from the past smh squigy and mark rolling ova 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
