I never thought welding would interest me this much. Great work on the frame. You vibe like a fat kid in a bakery- and it's contagious!! Happy Birthday @BYB_ED
Dude you give me the confidence to try this stuff at home myself! Props. I appreciate you sticking to the car thing and not trying to do SEMA builds, remodeling your house or trying to plug some ridiculous product. Congrats on the 300k and I’ll be watching when you guys hit 1M
BCM2 from 2014 on every VAG car is encrypted (Immo 5 system), and holds a "dealer key" which is also pre-coded on the keyfob you bought, 32 bit ISK cipher hence the 800$ because it says Lamborghini on it. An Audi one is $200. Problem is when you have an empty key and want to program it, this is not your case. You have pre-coded key from dealer matching the BCMs code, and programming should work fine with ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System) given that your tech guy has subscription to their online service, no need to bench code it or anything like that UNLESS some previous owner messed with the immo and keys.
Really cool to see how you barely contain your excitement about this car. You can hear in your voice how passionate you are about this build. Wishing you and team nothing but the best. Looking forward to seeing the build complete. Please be careful though. Start slow and find a track to run fast. 👍
I was really expecting the motor will going to start in this episode but this Key security is sooo..! Annoying..! 😂😂 but at the end of the day its a LAMBO..!! It’s going to show some attitude 😂😂..! Amazing work brother.!! Really, love to see your videos ..! And the C63 is mine dream build too..!
Congratulations on the 300k subscribers Tim! Loving everything about this build, from the vlogs to the build it's awesome! Great to see RUclips can connect others in the community too 🙏 Roll on to 500k subs!
i work at an audi dealer, you need to have an approved up to date odis login on some of the cars to do anything, they lock other tools like autel and snap on completely out, even older versions of odis can get locked out. crazy stuff, not sure how they get away with it.
Even though the key is a pain in the butt right now it won't be if the car ever get stolen. Top class welder! Precisely the kind of class expected on this channel.
Great video!! .....super content!!👏🔥💯👍..... A lot done, so far..... Wow!!..... This project moving along nicely..... You look pumped and happy..... Reminds us all how happy we get when we enjoy our interests and hobbies and the joy we get out of it..... God bless Tim!! 😊👍..... Good luck and all the best throughout the journey..... It's been awesome so far👍😎..... Can't wait for the next one..... 👏✊👍
I was soo looking forward to the engine firing up today! Been refreshing the feed anticipating the upload! Amazing content as always bro and Happy Birthday Ed 🎈🎉🎂❤️😁
To bad the story with the key...and no running engine yet, but whe are keeping up hope,s that maybe in the next episode the problem will be solved ! Welding is looking amazing, this Guy have golden hands and did a great job !!! Nice to see that the rest is doing great and soon you boys will start to rebuild this super car !! And Happy Birthday Ed !!!!
Good work with the frame it's a bummer about the key though but it sounds like the guy knows his story... Happy Birthday Ed... Much love all the way from South Africa.
Wow tim you rebuild is amazing than anyone else couse u rebuild it way lot faster n more like company 😃 hope we will see the lambo start soon I'm so excited for next episode 😀
I would have welded the mount from the wrecked frame onto the new frame so that way you don’t have to do anything else you know it’s perfect and straight
The mount from the wrecked frame is pretty mangled though (bent, cracked, and warped) and missing a large portion of what needed to be welded for it to have any kind of structural integrity. Plus the new frame had already been cut up from a previous owner rebuilding theirs.
Hi Tim. Excellent content again. Really enjoyed this. Looking so forward to you hitting the start button. Bring this baby to life. U.K. can’t wait! Your channel will hit a Million before you know it. Your builds are the best in the universe. U.K. supports you. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
The original frame is welded first from the cast part, which originally broke off, to three sides of the internal extruded aluminum frame, then the same cast part is welded to the outer extruded aluminum frame along its edges. There's a reason the only broken welds are ones from the cast parts to the extrusions, and it's because the factory welds and weld processes are inferior. The splatter around the factory welds indicate a GMAW weld process that, if not tuned and performed perfectly, will result in weld failure like what's being shown. When he tig welded the new cast part in, even if he were to only do the surrounding visible welds, the way he did it is guaranteed to have more structural integrity than the OEM welds. He also cut into the recessed area of the cast part, which can be seen at 13:26, where he then welded to the longer stretch of the internal extruded frame section, as can be seen at 13:55.
@@peeweedan9 Yes I agree that these welds are better than the factory welds. The weld in the regressed part wins back some strength, but the beam remains cut in half. It would have been better to remove the whole subframe and cut it on better accessible locations for welding. Not saying it will tear off easy, but for a performance car like this I wouldn't take any short cuts..
@@peeweedan9 11:00, but it is visible throughout the video. That rectangle beam was completely fixed to the original support. But only for about 2 inches after this replacement.
Some sexy clean aluminium welds right there. was impressed by how perfectly flat that ended up, thats exactly what you want with this kind of thing, years of precision, accuracy and skill. Top job.
I never thought welding would interest me this much. Great work on the frame. You vibe like a fat kid in a bakery- and it's contagious!!
Happy Birthday @BYB_ED
Nothing more refreshing in seeing a professional do their job, that welding is insane, good on him.

Couldn’t agree more one of the most informative rebuilding channels on RUclips
Insane build, I love how fast is going. Go Tim, wish you all the best!
Super under-rated, Tim your work is better than some channels with 1M subs

Congratulations on the 300k subs.... Nairobi, Kenya watching!!
Your enthusiasm blows me away. Love these cars. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see it finished. Cheers.
Thumbs pressed for the key programing!! 😊
Your welder is a master. Just watching his flow I could tell
You're lucky to find those guys... hopefully the re-programming works.
Not too long before it's back on the streets...
The new welding is 100% better than OEM.
I noticed heavy undercuts with the OEM welding which in the real world would fail NDT.
Great video guys.
Great job on the welding!!! Keep up the good work. I can’t wait to see this car finished
Even though the key is a pain in the butt right now it won't be if the car ever get stolen.
Top class welder! Precisely the kind of class expected on this channel.
God bless man keep up the great work 🙏🏽, you inspire me to try and do this thing myself, hopefully I can start doing it one day.

MASK bro, especially when creating a bunch of aluminum dust
with this kind of enthousiasm it does not matter wether you are working on a lambo or a dacia. thanks foe sharing the excitment!
Can someone explain how the inner box section was welded with that plate covering the end of it? 🤷🏻♂️
Can’t wait to hear this car roar!!
Congratulations on 300K subscribers! Way-to-go! Peter from the U.K.
I’m always here I love the series homie 🖤

Congratulations on the 300k Tim and Ed enjoy the videos
Gets better and better. Great video. Great editing
I would have welded the mount from the wrecked frame onto the new frame so that way you don’t have to do anything else you know it’s perfect and straight
Less work doing it his way
@@zimzimzimmer very true! I am just the type of person I’d never let myself believe it’s perfectly straight unless I did all that extra work ha ha

Brilliant content boys, big respect from Newcastle UK.
Good work! This frame is improving little by little!

Great content Tim. Keep it coming 👏🏾👏🏾
great work tim looking forward to this ive seen a few do lambos this will be a good one
Wait, that beam on the inside is now cut but not welded to the new support? Or am I missing something?
I’m thinking the same thing, impossible for those two box sections to have been welded, zero access to do so, car will be a death trap
