- Here are all of the features and functions broken down on the Bosch GLM series laser measures. These are highly durable and accurate to the 1/16th of an inch.
I highly recommend laser measures due to their ease, but you likely can't omit tape measures all together. There are some limitations such as needing a back stop for the laser to hit, where a tape measure doesn't need one.

Great tutituroal.
Thank you for the kind words
Is there any way the Bosch can measure a flat surface like a tabletop or workbench? Or do you still need a regular tape measure for that?
If you have an end point for the laser it can. So if you want to measure the length of a table you would just need to place something at the opposite end of the laser, like a piece of paper or a tool or a block, then it can measure it. Stick a piece of duct table at the end of the table and measure from the laser to the tape. Should work!
Much faster the old way with a real measuring tape
Can you please use this in a room and other examples to show how this would work in the real world? Thanks
Yes, great idea!!
I have the GLM 40. The directions from Bosch are absolutely horrible on how to use this device. Trying to understand your video. Is it possible to show how to use this device in real life, instead of against a piece of wood?
Yes! And thanks for some actual constructive feedback 👍🏻
I have one available
Sweet!
