I just wanted to say that your videos are a comfort content to me. I think it's easy to forget how the things we make, and just, in general, how we can affect others. Your content is personable, friendly, and easy to consume. Your hard work and enthusiasm for the food you review shines through. The style of editing is clean, concise, and lends to the feeling of connection.
I know this is overstepping, but I want to say that your videos are not only good, but things to be proud of. You produce content on two channels, but also post on multiple platforms. It's no easy feat. Vidoes are really hard to make watchable, especially with the sheer amount of competition and saturation there is.
You're a Din Tai Fung ambassador for a reason, you know? They want you to represent their brand because you are a good influencer, and because you are someone they think represents their values well.
What I mean is that you should be proud. It's easy for others to look from the outside and say that you're successful, and that you have it easy, but really, it's not that easy. You're in the public eye, and being on camera can be exhausting. You're doing the best you can, and I'm grateful I get to come along for the ride.
Please don't forget that your actions have scope. You've touched so many lives, even if it doesn't feel like it. You make people's days better.

It seems so long ago when I watched Star Wars but I have to say I always like the first one the best. Once they start adding too many new characters it doesn't seem as familiar! I saw the first Star Wars movie Episode 4 on my honeymoon in 1977. Loved it! I love 1-6 and have seen them multiple times….so many that I know a lot of the dialogue. My 5 yr old grandson is obsessed with Star Wars and has seen every episode, every Lego Star Wars, Clone Wars, Bad Batch and everything else. Love that Bird loves Star Wars too! Also, to Bird, I have actually built that Millennium Falcon Lego set that you and Meimei completed on this vlog, and have preordered the Imperial star destroyer from the same line since it's being released very close to my birthday. I also preordered the Notre Dame, it will be my biggest set ever at over 4000 pieces. I also have the same issue with shelf and surface space, it is a struggle. Star Wars is my absolute fav! I was 2 years old when episode 4, A New Hope, came out. My ranking order for the movies is: 4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3. I am not a huge fan of the prequels, but they serve their purpose.

Hi Mei Mei, love your videos. Here is my ranking of the Star Wars movies: 5, 6, 4, 2, 3, 1, 7, 8, 9. Although I have to add that my favorite Star Wars "universe" movie by a long shot is Rogue One. Like you, I am not necessarily a Star Wars fan, but my husband is. Plus, I'm Gen X, so I'd lose my Gen X card if I weren't familiar with Star Wars, lol. Lastly, congratulations on your DTF ambassadorship. I do empathize with your downplaying of your accomplishments, but realize that if you don't give yourself props, others will also be less likely to do so, and you deserve to be seen! Everyone does.
Aww super late comment, but congrats on becoming a DTF ambassador! Thanks for sharing your insecurities -- it's hard being a content creator and always having to put yourself out there.
Also, obligatory Star Wars movie rankings since it doesn't seem like a lot of others have posted theirs haha: 1) Empire Strikes Back, 2) The Force Awakens, 3) A New Hope, 4) The Last Jedi, 5) Return of the Jedi, 6) Revenge of the Sith, 7) The Phantom Menace, 8) The Rise of Skywalker, 9) Attack of the Clones.
Regarding Star Wars .... a controversial topic. Personally I think the best ones are 4, and 5, followed by 6. Unfortunately the introduction of the ewoks started to diminish the franchise. However I really couldn't stand Jar Jar Binks, so I gave up on the franchise and never saw 3 (I know, I will go back). I did watch 7 through 9. I agree with Bird regarding the end of the series. For me the best characters were Luke, Leia, Hans Solo, Chewbacca, Obi Wan, Yoda and Anikan. Oh, and of course R2-D2 and C-P30. I didn't like how Luke and Hans stories were told in the end (especially Luke's - that was pathetic). Plus Luke, Leia, Hans should have been given so much more screen time. I was also disappointed with some of the characters and acting in the last series too. I did think Series 7 was brave story to tell in many ways, which is why I continued to watch the franchise. Plus I've always believed there was so much story potential to tell in the Skywalker family line. My two cents. I'm not a sci-fi fan as as rule, but after being dragged kicking and screaming (literally) to watch Episode 4, I sort of fell in love with the story.

I had a huuuge star wars phase lol. I haven't seen them in a while, but my favorites are The Empire Strikes Back, Revenge of the Sith and Return of the Jedi.
I am also currently re watching all the Star Wars movies from star to finish. So I don’t have a ranking right now but Empire Strikes Back is one of the best all around.

I hope that companies will start to pay their influencers. maybe if you explained more about an ambassador is, people can decide for themselves? also, gifts are counted as payments for us regular corporate employees (they put it into our tax documents at the end of year). nothing is for free - I hope they keep treating you well as an ambassador!

I reminded myself that there are so many people/ random people who will bully you, but YOU don't have to be one of those people because you know yourself. for the impostor syndrome thing, you gotta put it into perspective: if someone told you they are an ambassador for whatever, would you not be impressed? you would, so stop putting yourself down girl!
and it pretty much works the same for everything else, like for ex: if a friend told you they got a raise, you'd be happy for them and you'd tell me they deserve it and that they've been working really hard
just gotta remind yourself you've also worked really hard and deserve it all :))
Was at DTF yesterday, it was somewhat disappointing (valley fair location) compared to my other experiences in San Gabriel and Taipei 101.
I also have imposters syndrome and I try to think of my accomplishments as something a friend did and how proud I’d be of them. It helps, but definitely not as proud of myself as I should be. Also, if I’m being hard on myself, I try to think I’m saying those things about baby me too and it can help me be kinder to myself. It’s hard, but you got this!
