I've actually been opening one pack at a time for a while, haha. I find it's nice to open a pack a day, so I have something to look forwards to each day and I'm not spending a ton at once. I tend to buy a booster box every month or so for best value.
I just collected my pre-order of 2 CZ ETBs today, just had a go at the packs. most of the pulls were not that great but I got what I wanted , the pikachu Secret Rare was in the 2nd box!! I'm really happy :) just sharing my experience, the CZ packs can be weighed somewhat, the lightest packs 22.0 - 22.03 grams had no hits at all. That being said, the pikachu was pulled from a light pack (22.22grams). Just beware if you are buying loose packs
I managed to find one at Walmart yesterday, hands down the best ETB I've ever opened in years of collecting. I got the Raikou, Mew, Swablu, and Absol gallery cards, as well as Leafeon V and the textured darkness energy. Can't wait to open more, this set is a blast and SO beautiful!!
I opened 9 ETB's today. I got a few great pulls but none of my chase cards. It was so fun to open I already have abstinence and want to buy more 😄 Such a fun set!
Just recieved and opened mine. I ordered 2 ETBs and my best pulls were: GG Riolu, GG Hattrene VMax, GG Oricorio, GG Solrock, GG Irida, Rayquaza V, Regigigas V, Mew V, Zeraora VMax and Radiant Charizard. They're all so nice, I feel great about my pulls. I'll definitely be doing more in the future though Best luck to everyone on their pulls!
Bought 2 etbs, was planning to open 1 and keep the other sealed. However I wasn’t satisfied with my pulls on the first etb so I couldn’t resist to crack open the 2nd one. Got the full art cynthia’s ambition and friends from sinnoh. Happy with my purchase :)
I was in the same boat too! I bought 2 ETB plus opened one and kept one sealed. But I wasn't satisfied as well with my first box. Then opened the second and got GG Mewtwo!
My initial reaction to the set was to hold off on overbuying like any other special set… but then I talked to my LGS owner and he said he was cut drastically on this set. When I say drastically, I mean he got less than half of what he ordered, keeping in mind that he sells A LOT by the case! He had to limit to three or so ETBs per customer!

Bought 4 boxes - opened 2. Best pull was Deoxys VSTAR. Going to hold the other two for a while unless I get bored and I may open them 😂. Always hard to keep sealed product around.
I was so lucky and by far this has got to be the most rewarding set of pokemon in recent times that I pulled the card I wanted more than anything else from this set which was the Mewtwo Vstar….a-lot going on with the artwork but just a really gorgeous card. Enjoyed your opening.
I was disappointed in the missing artwork on the inside of the cover too! I couldn't resist opening my etb and was glad I did. I managed to get the mewtwo vstar and was surprised at how nice it looked.
Hi, I opened the first 5 packs of my Elite Trainer Box and got Zamazanta VStar, Leon Trainer (Signed), Toxtricity (GG09) and a cheecky Grant full art (GG62). Very cool set with a lot of amazing art and variety.

Last christmas I bought some elite trainer and various pokemon go boxes and filled the advent calendar with pokemon booster for my family. it was a nice build up to christmas! I hold them until next christmas.
Pull rates will likely deviate a little to encourage sales throughout the months of releases. It is best to buy, open, and hold. Pull rates may not always be this good and the initial (sealed) product releases will likely retain value because of this. It's really common sense but thanks for your analysis, Jake!
I open 1 every other day and I am left with 3 ST Packs now. I didn’t feel the urge to open packs yet. I like opening them every now and then and if I miss a day or wasn’t in mood to open a pack I have mire for the next time I open them! When I get some items in between like the CZ Regi collection I usually open them all at once. Like you I had a Palkia Origin Forme VStar in my first pack! It was awesome
I unfortunately have no self control and rip pretty much as soon as i get it. Did manage to pull Deoxys Vmax, Both Pikachus and Suicune V so I am very happy to open this set.
I REALLY HOPE that by November 18 (which is my birthday) it stays at £50 because I REALLY want. Lucario is and always will be my favourite Pokémon so I am hoping ill be able to get it but I got doubts

I’m doing one pack a week with my 5 year old son and we just pulled a Charizard VStar and an alternate art Simisear VStar on the very first pack! Pretty happy with our start. On a different subject that you mentioned in the video, I actually have opened an ETB (Evolving Skies) and got no hits except for a Leafeon V. That was brutal. So, I believe that you can get like almost nothing out of a ETB.
I have been wondering if it's better to hold on to sealed for years to come or just open. Thankx for the video, I will now just leave one sealed once I'm able to buy one
Looks to be a fun set to open. Looks like the pull rates are really high, so might as well open as the cards themselves will not be worth a whole lot by the end of the run. That Palkia is not going to be worth more than $10 here in a few months imo
I opened up 3 Regi boxes a couple days ago, found a bunch at Walmart and bought 3 of them. I was able to get Hisuian Zoroark and a few other cards. I just bought 2 etbs today from a local shop and will open it up after work tonight !

So I bought 1 Crown Zenith ETB at my nearby Walmart today. Pulled the Hatterene Vmax alternate art, Lucario Vstar promo, Glaceon Vstar, Simisear Vstar, Zamazenta Vstar, Hatterene V, full art Swablu, full art Manaphy, and finally a reverse holo Mewtwo & Kyogre. This box was loaded to hell! 😲
Has anyone else had bad print lines on the back of the textured GG cards? I've had so many with horrible print lines on the backs of the cards. I haven't heard anyone else talking about it and I wanted to hear from others.
My first ebt had a Arceus so I had to go hard nd buy two more etbs nd keep one sealed. Just got the pikachu box nd ordered a minor tin display and both regis. The mini tin display the best sealed asset the rest could get opened honestly. The cz Pokémon center one is a good sealed investment too.
i think i will keep mine sealed because i felt like opening my unbroken bonds etb for 40 dollars was a waste because no pulls and right now it is worth 300 dollars, plus crown zenith is like one of those sets which are like better than others as they have a promo and 10 packs
I think this is literally the best set, if you want to pulla a good looking card. I will be opening one ETB and personally my chase cart is the Raikou V :)
I bought 3 ETBs and got three duplicate cards and two cards I got three and four times each. Barely any pulls and the ones I did get I pulled multiple times so it was like I only got a few pulls in all my Boxes. Worst luck and waste of money has only reiterated the fact that I shouldn’t be buying sealed product, I should just buy singles I want instead.

I cracked and got two etbs. First etb I opened I had a gold dialga. Kinda bummed because I have Vstar Universe version. My duskull, lapras and turtwig I pulled had some crazy print lines on them. That's saying a lot because my Vstar Universe copies don't. It sucks that they split up the 201-209 god pack from vstar universe though. Actually just sucks that it doesn't look like they have any god's packs whatsoever in CZ. I'd still go with vstar universe any day of the week. I might pick up a couple more CZ products just to try and pull an Arceus to go with my vstar universe Giratina and Dialga though.

Why do some people keep the promo inside the plastic wrapper? Its not gradable is it?
Why hold it? An etb looks just as good opened as sealed, plus you get the cards inside. I just don't get it

No one can give you a definitive answer to that. Definitely worth looking at the history of prices in the hobby and making a decision based on rhat.

My theory is they loaded the first wave of packs, so when they do a rerelease it will not be the same pull rates
