In this video I do a first ride and review on the Energica Ego which is an electric motorcycle. Tampa Bay Motos is actually a licensed dealer for Energica which is an italian motorcycle brand. I'd say this bike is comparable to a gsxr750 when it comes to power but has much more torque. The top speed on it is 150mph! That's awesome.

@@cheifrango8609if ya want something with similar power but not quite so touchy, the f4i is a great starting point. i started on an 02 cbr 954 and at 16 that was more than enough bike lol. after a few years i snagged an 02 f4i and rode it to 44k miles and sold it. super comfy and does what ya need it to!

I have an 11 year old Brammo empulse r and it's still pulling the torque and the handle is amazing and it's 6 Speed with a clutch, electric bike will be the future. Riding around the city I can ride all day. And it's a conversation starter

Based on my 3 year old electric lawnmower...i used to be able to mow the entire yard on 1 charge and have battery left over. Now after mowing the front its showing just 1 bar so i recharge it to then finish the backyard. I think an electric bike would be fun now, but in 4 to 5 years?? How much is a battery replacement? Not having to worry about stopping for gas is what I miss about my car. If they can increase the range I’m down.
As a rider for more than 10 years loud pipes hasn’t done anything other than hurt my ears. People still don’t see you and I have avoided quite a few accidents by being proactive.
Stay in peoples mirrors, never ride parallel, keep a wide birth, speed up/down whatever you need to maintain space, expect that they won’t see you, etc.
and the cool thing is you don’t got to pay money for gas if you can just charge it at your house and ride way more times because of not paying money for gas

Multiple levels of regen, acts like engine breaking. Can get really strong where you barely need brakes
They need to look at the Hyundai Ioniq N and what they did with fake sound to give the driver a better sense of immersion and of the speed they are going

Ev is the future.. more efficient, cleaner and the power is undeniable. But the smell of unburnt fuel with the sound of it igniting can’t be replaced 😫.
I think electric bike will be dope in the future but they should consider the sound,I love bikes because of the sound it’s what makes a bike a bike
What makes a motorcycle a motorcycle is cheap upkeep and efficiency, gas bikes today are not cheap to maintain nor efficient.

If this is the very genesis of a thing, I think it's a brilliant first step. I got a feeling than in ten or fifteen years, electric bikes will be insane. This is the amoeba phase of battery bikes, and I cannot wait until they properly evolve. When Kawi makes one worth buying, I'm getting it.

I'm surprised at how 'not bad' it seems to be, but like, I'm still skeptical, like, it's so heavy, and I bet it's expensive, and I bet it takes an unacceptably long time to charge

Idk man. I'd ride one just to say I've ridden one, but it just sounds so ass lol. The creaking of everything since there's no engine sound, that wind up of the electric motor. It just sounds so bad and doesn't sound like anything all at the same time 🤣🤣

Electric bikes have no engine feedback to help you know your speed. You almost have to constantly look at the speedo to make certain you're not going too fast.
I think electric bikes has a place as zero emission sports bikes, or as just daily drivers. EVs are definitively better for commuting, in every way

Not about going green, it is about stay true to what a motorcycle's purpose is. Valve checks are cancer and oil changes are inconvenient.
This is my dream bike lol for real. I want an Eva Ribelle tricolore. I have 7 motorcycles and 3 of them are electric. My favorite bike is electric - my Zero S 7.2kW. I wish the Energica was lighter! Thank you for checking it out. I am really excited for the electric Ducati! FWIW loud pipes do not save lives - that’s a myth. Ride like you’re invisible!
Eva Ribelle is an incredible bike, I love mine!
I have a custom electric bike. My two cents:
Temperature affects it. The colder, the less range. Your speed is also affected, thought the higher KW motor the less of an issue this is. You won't be running them at top speed most times. I lose about half my range through winter.
Range is also a thing. It's getting better, but still not there. They're fun, but charge time versus range isn't the greatest. Gas is still king. As the tech improves, so will the bikes. For the moment, you'll get the best out of ICE bikes.
I can tell you an Energica doesn't lose anywhere close to half the range in coldish weather, maybe 15%
@Moto_EV They probably have better insulation setup. All electric loses range in the cold. Not sure I believe 15%. Even tesla loses more than that, and they do have insulation.
@@OutlawCaliber13 Probably depends on how cold, I haven't hit lower than probably 45 degrees because why would I. And it really isn't significant. I was still managing 300-400 mile days just fine with 3 stops and a full charge overnight
@@Moto_EV I'm in Canada, and ride all year round--as long as there's no ice or snow on the road. -20f is the coldest I've rode in. Definitely a loss of range. This isn't just with bikes though, it's been all over the news with the Liberal push to electric and people not making it to charge points. There were a good few electric vehicles left on the side of the road because of the problem.
