Excellent Jake, a house that I used to rent during the steel season in Altmar, NY had a painting on the wall of a royal coachman nymph in great detail, this reminded me of that. I love those type of ties. Keep it up!

Looks great. Hope this isn’t a dumb question: would you fish this like a nymph under an indicator or would you swing this?

I primarily swing these but you could definitely fish them under a indicator!

Hi Jake, that's an awesome take on a "royal". I like the look on the curved hook too. I like what you're doing with soft hackles and swinging patterns. I've been watching a lot of Scandinavian tyers using three soft hackles, each spaced along the body of the fly in thirds on longer shank hooks. Similar to your Swinging Holy Grail (also awesome!). You're very creative with UV resin, looked at your IG gallery. Those bead heads are straight out of sci-fi, like something out of Dr. Who :o) I'm aware of that Gulff product through one of my subscriptions, a tyer that I can't pronounce or spell his name became a rep for them a while back. He has some videos on youtube.
Thanks for sharing your talents and creativity :o)

Great looking fly.Always like tying soft hackles.Do you find without using a little cement under the herl before wrapping,it doesn't fall apart after a few fish? Also, what vise are you using.Thanks.

Nope, haven't had any problems, the little thread hot spot coated with the uv resin seems to really lock down the peacock and make it durable.

Nice pattern Jake. Asking for a friend, how much weight does the resin add to the fly? I like the new format with the edit, very nice.

Thanks Darren! It adds a little, not much though since I'm just putting a slim coat over just to protect the thread wraps, hope this helps!
