Coach Brian, provide to us more Judo throws. Judo is underrated.
true, more judo videos please!!
Judo is massively overrated especially for self defence
@@toomuch9762 why?
@@SuperLuisLA for example when countering many opponents, while being alone. You will be grip fighting with one, whilst for the others your sides are exposed for attack and your hands at the same time are busy with fighting that one guy. Surely any self-defense at its mastery teaches how not to sleep in any situation and move faster and smarter than your peers, however.
Judo is underrated more videos would be awesome
Would love to see cliffs take on no gi footsweeps
When doing osoto gari, my sensei always said "the foot like a ballerina, and sweep!"
The hop osoto gary dropping our bodyweight to the floor is the Way to go for grappling, MMA or bjj. Traditional osoto gary is nearly imposible to hit in a good level oponennt
For good level competitors, I think you would be more successful using combination techniques instead of using a single major technique. Using combinations would help keep your opponent off-balanced mentally and physically, and you should see an opening to use “O Soto Gari!” (Combinations are a series of techniques with the last technique being successful!) Ask Coach Cliff about these combinations!
Two deception attacks: De-Ashi-Harai, O-Kuri-Ashi-Harai
One Major Attack: O-Soto Gari
Oh! There are many more combinations then just my suggestion; I was successful using these combinations, locally, nationally, and internationally, etc.
Good Luck!
Please more judo coach, really enjoyed this
More of this man please
More judo please!!
This guy is awesome
i love the humility and respect martial arts give to people
As a fellow judoka, that far away hopping into the osoto gari, that’s a great way to have a wrestler snag a single leg. Or even give the opponent time to osoto gaeshi (osoto gari counter) I’d go tai otoshi or ashi guruma.
There are single leg takedowns in Judo too.
Good stuff coach. As Judoka myself I think you should incorporate about 5 to 6 different throws that use and drill those throws right into submission like we do when drilling
Judo is class.
Coach Brian!!! Muchas Gracias!!! Tiene varios tesoros escondidos por allí!!! Estoy muy agradecido al Judo, es simplemente maravilloso!!!
Judo guy who loves no gi here. You can sometimes cheese people by pushing (in a more cupping manner as to not essentially be hitting them) on the face or throat/neck for osoto in no gi and it works if you catch them off guard
Beautiful content with two badass coaches! Arigato :)
Judo the best grappling art for the street!
Great content
Love it. I feel like judo is underrated cause in mma floor is used but in a fight outside a judo throw onto concrete could kill a man. I wonder if judo is still underused in ufc tho and we will see it grow?? Plus unlike wrestling where you can get kneed to face when shooting in judo seems safe or decent alternative?? Great to see people bringing fight to floor w judo not jumping lol guard
This is absolute GOLD 🏅🏆
Dam I love that hopping osoto gari.
Here is a way I teach outside reap to wrestlers. It is the same as a single leg just your leg and chest are doing what your hands and head do on a single and your penetration step needs to go out at a 45 deg instead of straight in to make room for the leg reaping. The standard reap is serves the same as a ear to chest single, hop hop is the same as turning the corner and the counter reap where you back turn 90deg is just like running the pipe. I hope this helps.
Judo most simple and effective grappling martial art! With Coach Brian and coach cliff
YOU CAN BASE THROWS FOR GRAPPLING. THROWS CAN TURN INTO TAKEDOWNS SUBMISSIONS LOCKS AND CAN KEEP IT STANDING BEFORE IT HITS THE GROUND FOR SELF DEFENCE

Sumo and judo good combo
Karate can help improve judo Brian. And Karate can help read judo fights and Moves. Karste judo combination. Snoop here a purple belt in bushi ban Karate, nice video bus
Maa şaa Allah.
Very good
You only need know 1 throw to win a grappling match or stand up match. Judo is that good!
Judo Wrestling unlike BJJ or normal wrestling keeps the fight standing and off the ground
but still uses grappling techniques Throws Submissions Locks.
And can beat groundfighters and strikers like boxers
A new martial art by Jeremy
Congratulations!!!
Thank you
Nice video good to look back 👍. Really liked the hopping osoto. Ever since I've started wrestling I hate using my judo from the collar tie tho it feels less connected way less kuzushi
Snoop created a new martial art called SUJO
It combines Sumo Wrestling and Judo and Hapkido karate jujitsu
Throws takedowns
That drive with right hand on the collar grab or lapel is so important. You drive kind of at an angle, but that drive is what makes the unbalance happen, and when you pop you literally are hitting him with all your power pulling on the collar at an angle to establish the unbalance. You just need to be extremely explosive. And then you use that collar grab to drive the opponents head into the ground with all your weight smacking on top. After that the submission is really easy to establish. Great video! Great instruction sensei.
great!
Great video!
11:42 Coach Brian just let him hang there so sad :(
when someone is punching, the leg on the side of the punch has the weight on it. This means the lead leg most of the time because of jabbing. Inexperienced boxers will be front foot heavy the whole time ! So osato gari is highly appropiate on the street.
I didn't know Mark Ruffalo was a judoka
Code word PRO Grappling!
that was pretty good
JUDO Throws the most use full grappling techniques
The secret is Throws. FITS ANY SURROUNDINGS FOR SELF DEFENCE. THROWS THE BEST WEAPON. JUDO HAPKIDO
Aikido judo bjj good combo
Nice Judo Video time to study some grappling from JUDO WRESTLER Snoop Menuce
Judo can be a Main base to base all other grappling
I've been taught a defence against the osoto gari is to turn the leg they're trying to sweep to the outside(point your knee out to the right if they go for your right leg) and put your weight on that leg. If you're not off balance from your head being tipped back in the setup it works pretty well and you can throw them from there but havn't tried it against any actual judokas.
Wrestler Brazilian JUJITSU Judo Karate best combo
Judo the only martial art you need for grappling striking and sell defense and some submissions
My sensei always taught me to unbalance the opponent to the point where his left leg (if I'm attacking the right) lifts off the ground and all the weight is on the right leg. This way, when I sweep the leg, he will fly. But it's harder, especially in no gi.

Code words Ne Waza JUDO!
Judo is cool
do I get that right that..
For executing the technique I have to Hit my Partners shoulder with my shoulder as hard as i can? like a tackle?
Obviously not in friendly sparring but in competition and so on?
Not as hard as you can just enough to break his balance to that side
No viewssss but I'm here
Cool guy even the judo coach makes more sense ON YOUR CHANNEL I like his drive with that osoto ... But if they lean forward why not sag turn throw or last chance winding makikomi?
There's a lot of space you could also get a line on a shot or arm drag, or since they are so far back like a high c to a double under slash claw whatever ... Or outside turn throw.
I don't know much but that's how I think.
But sometimes even though they are leaning their balance is even worse at times so you can osoto gari.
A lot of people tai otoshi when they lean, I'm not sure if I would do that but that's what good people do.
I would tai o but not there good people do though.
Can always tell when I lock up with a Judo guy.. their balance is just different.
It's like savage wrestling ballerinas.
Code word Holds wrestling judo holds
The minor details like the toes and foot actually matter, i thought it was a kick(-ish) to the calf all this time!
Wtf? that's why it's called a foot sweep
Code word Wrestling holds or judo holds
I need some simple moves sir
Can this sort of move be used in freestyle wrestling?
Kurt angle and judo the secret
Uchikomi is Repetition...it is to train your muscle memory...IT should NOT hurt your partners Knee, if you do you are doing it WRONG...

Osoto gari in a street fight would not be a good idea as if it is done properly the opponent's back of head is the first thing that will crash into concrete. Better to walk away than to kill someone. But, if it is war... this would be one of the best to use.
Code word THROWS I iike Scorpion Hapkido judo
Osoto is practiced often...u never see it successfully used in competition
Judont know if i have a gun😂
Love nogi judo but this technique is begging for a duck under back take
I agree , doing this with a collar die won’t work well, it’s better if you crowd them with your shoulder in their face or sometimes can push the neck or face to break their posture over the reaping leg like with a high collar grip in the gi
Code words JUDO SKiLLS then can use them work on them all the time in judo wrestling Jujitsu and other martial arts
