This is *such* a quality arrangement. :)
To be honest, the restrictions placed on her thru this TV show worked a treat for her, as it kept her choices to diva-esque super-high-quality *singing* ,without allowing her freedom to indulge in the mega-quick runs & percussive rhythmic stuff she liked to do especially early in her career. That's all very impressive, arguably virtusosic, in itself, but it's definitely not for everyone. Thru this show she kept to mostly in-service-to-the-SONG choices, which show just what an excellent singer she is, & to the widest possible audience. There's a reason there are hundreds (possibly thousands) of reaction vids on the Toob to her performances on this show, whereas her own material doesn't get the same attention.

It still gets better with Reflection, I Will Always Love You, Purple Rain, My Heart Will Go On and Bang Bang with Coco & KZ. Great reactions. Original Killing ...Softly was Lori Lieberman in 1971, then Roberta Flack was a huge hit, then Fugees, another huge hit. Jessie's covers of all these songs on Singer literally replaced the originals on my playlist. Her music, vocals and stage presence ...the whole package! She works a crowd like nobody I've ever seen, and I've seen them all at age 67.
